I don't get the popularity of the PCCs. I have one I only used in the beginning when I had one charger. Now it is collecting dust. I'd much rather have an extra battery than a PCC. You have to wait and remember to charge the PCC, then wait again to charge the battery. Mine only charges 2 1/2 batteries before it dies and it's fairly heavy. Why not just charge an extra battery or two?

The only reason I see their appeal is if you have no access to power like commuting by train or camping without a car. To each's own.
