I know mistakes happen. Not everyone is perfect. But I gotta say I'm becoming more and more upset with Madvapes after shopping with you for over 3 months. At first, every order I placed was fine. The products worked great, every item was right, nothing upset me. Well that's all changing now...

I'm going to open up one ticket as soon as I can, and unfortunately it's for the exact same reason I opened one last time. I ordered some 3.0 ohm 510 single coil tank cartomizers and when I got down to my last two, I tried to put one on my device and it had the wrong threading. Okay...I opened up the ticket and the problem was fixed. I even told the rep helping with my ticket that you guys should keep your eyes open for more of these 510 cartomizers having the same problem. He said he'd pass on the message.

Obviously he didn't pass that message on because the very next order of those cartomizers I placed has the exact same problem. One of them has the wrong threading. I was given an 808 threaded cartomizer this time around. I have absolutely no use for this thing.

So Madvapes, please go through your stack of Single Coil 510 tank Replacement 3.0 ohm cartomizers and pull out all of the ones that aren't right! I've ordered tons of cartomizers from you guys in the last 3 months and up until two weeks ago everything was fine. You haven't lost a customer because it's not a big deal in the long run, I'm just surprised this has happened to me two times in a row.

Apparently you aren't familiar how things work in this business, it is extremely hard for someone like Hooge to look at every single cartomizer he gets from smoktec, the orders are outrageously full of tiny little things. The sheer volume that they ship out makes something like this very difficult, plus most items are pre-wrapped from bulk so unless they spend hours unwrapping things this is impossible.

I don't know why I am wasting my time explaining this to you, I just get ...... when someone trys to trash such a good person. Try not being such a .... and spend a little more time asking questions and you might get a response from someone who will help you out.

I have to give everyone at Madvapes a huge thank you for everything they do to continue to bring us good reliable products and fast shipping.
I don't get on here enough to SHOUT! my love of madvapes because I am so extremely busy, but it is due to them that I now have converted ten of my closet friends and family to vaping and I go to Madvapes at least once a week even twice today to keep everyone in stock as they are mostly not tech savvy.
Thanks guys, and don't let people like this discourage you! I have another order to place, happy vapeing!

I was not trying to trash anyone. I even specifically said they did not lose a customer because I realize this thing happens. Also, Madvapes is not just one person. There are a number of people who work in the warehouse - I've personally been there, so I'm not throwing all of this on Hooge.

And I'm not expecting someone to correct this problem on the forums. I don't have a lot of time during the day to sit down and open a ticket. I am the manager in a place with an inventory in the tens of thousands so I am aware I need to keep a close eye on our merchandise and make sure I know of its location and that my customers get what they ordered.

Basically what I'm saying is Madvapes needs to keep an eye out for this kind of problem. Someone, somewhere is not doing their job correctly, whether it be smoketec or Madvapes or whomever. When I place an order for 10 cartomizers, nothing else, I'd expect to get the 10 cartomizers I ordered. Yes, I know this is not a big deal, which I stated before, but there's a point where you need to say something to the guys you order from so they can double check their stock and make sure things are in working order.

I like Madvapes a whole lot. In fact, I've told a number of people to check them out to try and get them to quit cigarettes. I hand out their cards all the time.

So FROSTVAP3, back off a little bit. I get ...... when someone tries to trash talk me when I have done nothing wrong but toss in a little constructive criticism to HELP out one of my favorite vendors.

I don't think it's mad vapes at all.... I just received my first order ever from them the other day and MV was spot on with my order and the shipping was very fast...thank you, thank you :)

Now, Smok tech on the other hand....hmmm, first time getting their product also (cartos and attys)... To put it lightly, I think I will be looking for another brand... If it wasn't DOA, it died after the first fire...Or chinsy metal threads that were very inconsistent with the 510 connection, very loose, one not even the right diameter of the 510, one fired up on the first hit like it sparked and I got real hot vapor and the next hit hardly anything, next hit hardly anything, next hit sparked up and hot vapor and melting plastic carto sheath....hmmm, not to impressed with them...Thankfully they're under $2 a piece and I only ordered 8.....
Now, the DC 510 3.5 ml tank carto from MV.... I have that on my GLV2 and I cannot put it down :) That baby fires consistent every time and produces a perfect vape for me....I love it

I don't see what's so wrong with asking a vendor to check more carefully when someone picks and packs an order if the contents are marked on the outside of the package that's being picked. If the label and the contents don't match that's another thing completely. It's not clear which is the case here.

But I buy from Madvapes pretty frequently and have been happy. And I'm sure they are concerned about this issue it's an ongoing thing.

+1 I always include a note saying to please make sure I get the correct quantity and correct item. There is nothing wrong with asking them to make sure what you're getting is what you paid for, I love MV and of course sometimes there will be mistakes but every time I have had them make it right! I think it is good that you are giving them a heads up on possible 808 cartos in the 510's!

That DC 510 tank you are using is SmokTech...just letting you know. I have had this same issue with every carto brand. Cartos are super quickly mass produced with little QC at all. MV is usually one of the first to carry a new product that they offer, so there is often some inconsistencies in the first run of alot of items. I have not found them to be any better or worse than any other carto maker to date. Clear carto's have always had the highest fail rate with ANY manufacturer (assumed it was clear with the burning plastic reference). Try out a Royal e2 if you can, they are a different carto experience.

GLV's also have an andustable height center pin (the newer ones and you said it was a GLV2). Raise you center pin about a quarter turn and it will get rid of alot of the inconsistencies with hot/weak firing.

I don't think it's mad vapes at all.... I just received my first order ever from them the other day and MV was spot on with my order and the shipping was very fast...thank you, thank you :)

First off i love MV. they have the best prices and an amazing selection. i've been very happy with everything i've ordered from them UNTIL i finally took the jump into a 5ml tank. the tank itself is awesome but it's the cartos that are the problem and looking at the reviews it's not just a minor problem.

FLOODING! 2 of the 3 cartos (including the one that came with it) i tried instantly flooded making them useless with the tank. i've worked manfacturing and understand quality control and understand it's the manufactures fault not MV, but as the retailer they are the ones that need to take to customer feed back to the manufacture to improve quality testing and control.

A retailer does three things provide a QUALITY product at an affordable price with good service. MV prices and service are great, but yes they need to up their focus on quality assurance.

I don't know what they currently do but from the number of reviews about flooding on the tank cartos it's seems obvious they need to up the quality assurance both on the manufacturing and MV side of things. With such a big and almost random problem MV needs to do either one of two things. Do a 3 day DOA WARRANTY on tank cartos which i know they don't want to do and be faced with the real scope of the carto quality issues. OR they need to make quality assurance contracts with their manufactures saying that MV will do batch testing on the shipments they recieve and send the entire order BACK if it fails thier batch testing requirements. thus not passing manufactures quality issues onto the customer. They also need to be working with the manufacturer as to what quality assurance is being done DURING the manufaturing process. if you aren't batch testing during the build then you end up with massive numbers of some that might work and some that are garbage. so yeah it's on the manufactures shoulders but it's madvapes that has to push the issue, because it's madvapes customers that will stop buying that product and possibly lose customers all together.

It's a question of how much quality product is actually worth? How much are you willing to pay for quality, and thus have to pass that cost onto the customer. Right now as a customer i don't see the cost of replacement tank carto as $2.30, but rather $6.90 for the 1 in 3 chance that i'm going to get one that i can actually use.

On the quality issue with the flooding tank cartos i understand it's a new product but they really need to work out what's going on and how to test for good cartos. the fact that some cartos work great and some flood horribly with the same holes drilled in all them seems pretty clear that it's whats going on inside the carto and not the holes that's causing the problem. My guess would be that they simply don't know what the actual problem is and thus how to properly test for it.

Personally i'm pretty skeptical about ordering more tank cartos. i love the tank when i have cartos that don't flood but i might wait until there are a couple months of good reviews. For now I'll just go back to what i know i like and that's less prone to problems. I am looking forward to buying more tank cartos at some point in the future.

So yeah this is what Madvapes needs to hear and not sunshine blown up their tukus.

Thanks Master :) I know the tank carto is smoktech.... The melted plastic thing was on a single coil 2.5ohm regular carto in black color....the black color is just like a sticker wrap(what melted) around a SS carto... I will check into the pin on the GLV.... I was leaning on that mass production thing too, I could see it happening with production into the millions :) Most of my troubles with these so far have been on my wifes Chuck :( I was trying 2.5 ohm cartos on 6v. Maybe I need to get yet a higher ohm carto for 6v?? Or I guess drop down from 2 lifepo4 3.0v bats to an 18650 single and do 3.7v vaping or try out one of them special 18650 4.8v bats for 5v chucking... IDK, there sure is a lot of trial and error here.... Where do you get Royal e2's?
However, still not impressed with the threading on the smoktechs...loose and goofy on both devices :(

Thanks for the feedback folks. We've been fine tuning our receiving, barcoding and testing to make sure that stupid mistakes, like barcoding errors don't happen.

The products, hmm.. Well we've been ordering so much stuff lately, there could be some products here and there that are getting rushed by the manufacturers and although we haven't seen too much screwiness, we definitely read the reviews and listen to what you're saying. We've been branching out a bit lately and trying to add more manufacturers of the same products and sometimes, some products look similar and you'd swear that they came from the same factory, other times they look completely different. I wish we could make a cartomizer here that didn't end up costing $20 :(

Good on ya, Hoogie. I'm a huge fan of MadVapes and I continue to order from you guys at least once a week. I understand you get 1000s of items shipped to you weekly and that it can be a lot of work to make sure everything ends up in the right place.

PS: If you could make a cartomizer $20 that rocks my world and lasts for a good while, I'd buy it!

I think they could be made here for less than $20 each..but they probably would be $20 (maybe even less) a pack of 5 instead of $10 like Chinese ones. They would have to be mass produced on a large scale by someone only trying to make an honest profit instead of being greedy.

I mean with the cost of fuel to ship them here from China we have to be able to make them somewhat competitively..if we can't be competitive here in this country anymore we are doomed. I understand China uses "slave" labor with little rules but I still believe it can be done here and done here better..our country is known for our ingenuity it's why we won WWII..I don't think it's lost...

What makes manufacturing here prohibitive, is the gonvernment, plain and simple, the drive the cost up with anything with all the taxes and regulations and it isn;t going to get any better.

Yeah I understand that but there has to be some regulation because too many people would sell out their children's future for a buck..I should say they have sold their children's future for a buck in so many ways it makes me sick. There could be a balance though.

The taxes issues could be made better if taxing was more equal..today we have some big company's and rich people not paying their fair share while others try to make up the difference. What was it 2010 GE paid 0 taxes or close because of loopholes. If it doesn't get better people will get really sick of it...

Exactly!! Yes "SOME" regulation is required as you always have those that will push the envelope, that being said I don't see how one could do affordable cartos here with all the overhead :( I wish it we could bring more manufactoring back here, but when you get paid more to sit on your .... than what you can get froma minumum wage job, people are just not going to bother.
DH and I have had a rude awakening this past year as we are starting to delv into creating a product, I never knew so much paper work and regulation exsisted! Oh and I am not even going to mentioned how much money it cost to get something patented!

Back to topic: China's manufaturers do their quality control by stating a certain percentage of a fail rate for things like ecigs, the cheaper the price the higher the failure percentage rate goes up, sad but true. They know they have us by the cahoneys as they are creating a product we have to have and that we do not make.

i can't help but chime in on this.. It's easy to be the worlds leader in manufacturing when you have blown up all the competition in the world. this is what happened after world war 2 and saw the boom of manufacturing and the middle class in america. I'd suggest everyone look into the federal reserve and the fact that america is a debt driven economy that must continue to grow or drown in interest from that debt(completely unsustainable). When it comes to manufacturing now joining NAFTA and the WTO has destroyed american manufacturing. the only thing built here are products where the cost of quality means it can't be made in china or orther 3rd world country. By handing over our trade policy american manufacturing simply can not compete with the cost of making a widget in other countries that pay employees essentially slave wages, have little to no saftey regulations, and only provide the minimum quality to insure you might buy from them. When you can buy a product from china for less then you can buy the raw materials in america it's not competition.

The messed up thing is that some would have you think we need to compete by lowering ourselves to 3rd world standards but the truth is america needs to control it's trade policy and demand the rest of the world raise it's standards to compete with us. it's called FAIR trade, not FREE TRADE. which is something that gets very little talk yet has a massive impact on our economy. Sorry but you can't have an economy based on consuming when the only real income is made by pushing papers and digital money from place to place.

Capitalism is a system made to funnel money to the few at the top. this is the modern day feudal system. if that is the system we want then drop all taxes on the bottom half of the income scale and get all taxes from the top. some may say that's unfair but that's how our economy works to flow money. NO multimillionaire is going to give up his wealth to pick strawberries in a field simply because they don't want to pay taxes. If they did i guarantee they would be working harder picking those strawberries then they ever have managing their money.

Anyway yes small business needs government out of their way and big business needs the government to reign in their power. Government for the people by the people, not for the corporations by the corporations like we have now.

...Government for the people by the people, not for the corporations by the corporations like we have now.

The sad thing is it's going to stay this way because most of the politicians are in the pocket of the corporations..when 3/4 of the politicians are wealthy or millionaires with cushy jobs waiting for them after office. Think about this the presidential election this year they are going spend maybe 2 billion dollars running 2 candidates. We need change...
