Have you travel with your e-cig mod, and have questioned about what is that device that looks like a bomb on the check in booth?
I'm getting into a new job and I will probably get some travel to different cities and want to know some histories or advises on how to handle this, and if this is ok to get your e-cig into your backpack when you travel on he airplane or just leave it at home.

You know, is a rounded metal cylinder, plus you have a bottle of liquid that looks like nitro methane or something like that.

Thanks!

I traveled by plane last month and had no trouble with several mods and juice in the my carry on luggage. Most TSA seem to know what they are and did not even garner a second look from the scanner. The key is to separate the batteries from the mod in one of those battery holders and put your tank in a plastic bag cause it will leak with the change in pressures. I think the more organized stuff looks the better.

I travel alot. although I dont recommend it, sometimes I forget where Im at
and find myself pulling on the APV in line for TSA. LOL! :)
I take it out of pocket, off of neck, where ever, and slide it into outer pocket
of breifcase/backpack just before the luggage passes into xRay.

IMPORTANT though- if you carry extra batteries- PLEASE carry them in plactic boxes made for the size of the Batt. Safety first. Follow the TSA guide for liquid as suggested- you'll be fine. They're used to it.

I've travelled to over a dozen countries with various setups - never a problem.

I separate the device from the tank and store that in my carry on. I put the tank in with my other liquids (deodorant, hand sanitizer, etc.). Alternatively, if it's short trip, I load up some cartos and just throw them in my carry on.

Juice, I generally put in my shaving kit in my stored luggage. If I just have a carry on, it goes in the liquids zip lock (remember to have it in a bottle that's clearly marked - liquids of unknown type can get questions).

Most pressing question I've gotten? "How do you like the provari?"

I've travelled for my job over the last year, multiple states and multiple countries.
I've always carried my gear in my carry-on and never had a problem.
I'll usually have 2 mods, a couple fill n go tanks, a dripper, 2-3 30mL bottles of juice and spare batteries. My charger goes in my Pelican case that has my work tool bag, and is my checked luggage.
The only issue I ever had was TSA had to hand-scan my VTR because they had never seen one. And once a TSA agent offered to show me what the Provari looked like under an XRay.

I have heard of a few peeps that carried on a few loaded tanks and they leaked due to air pressure/altitude. I flew in Nov and had a few tanks in my purse half full but put them in bubble wrap just in case they leaked. I had no issues with them leaking or going through security.

I've traveled all over the world with e-cigs. My primary has been an Ego setup with clearomizer. The only time I was checked was when I carried a couple batteries without the cart attached. The guy thought it looked like a couple bullets. But, on checking, he waved me by.

I'm going to get to a post just on this, but flying with tanks/clearos, etc., has become a pain. There's nothing that I have found that doesn't leak with the hauling it in my iPad man-bag, changing pressures, etc. On my last trip to Asia a few weeks ago, I switched to high nic 808 e-cigs. Stayed away from the long batteries, just the short and medium. Plenty good for vaping in the airport and on the plane, mainly in the bathroom. However, I found a couple no-light batteries and on my last 15 hour flight, they turn out the lights, and I vaped away to my hearts content, but was discreet.

It was such a great experience that I am done with hauling liquids and tanks along on the trip. You can keep these small buggers in your shirt pocket without any worry of leaks. I've found some great cart/battery combinations that give me very decent vapor - the throat hit - and by refilling the carts, you can actually improve the vapor by getting the right liquids. Now, it is my total away from home vape.

I know it sounds like I've gone to the dark side, but it makes travel and the stolen vapes at work much easier. For sure, not clouds of vapor, but satisfying nonetheless. Highly recommend it for the frequent fliers. Many improvements have been made in the cigalike genre since I quit smoking and started vaping 5 years ago.
