    No you can't
"falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition"

I'll go with the earthly version hard times(Suffering) are coming.

"If you hear someone say "the fires of perdition," they're talking about the fires of Hell. Perdition refers to hell, and especially the religious idea of eternal damnation: suffering for an endless period of time after death. You can also use this word for a more earthly kind of suffering. Just as people say "I'm in hell!" when they're unhappy, you could say someone in a bad situation is caught in perdition. When you see the word perdition, think "Suffering!" perdition - Dictionary Definition : Vocabulary.com

Paul called antichrist, "the man of sin"(2 Thessalonians 2:3). It is primarily because of this phrase that millions have concluded that the word "antichrist" must ultimately apply to only one Mr. Wicked. Kids who read the popular Left Behind books sometimes call him, the Evil Dude. Apocalyptic Christian films like The Omega Code, A Thief in the Night, Tribulation, Judgment, and Megiddo, all reflect the same idea. Is it true? Will there be one Mr. Scary who becomes the antichrist, an Osama bin Laden-number 2? Is that what Paul really meant?
John wrote about "many antichrists"(1John 2:18), and "that spirit of antichrist"(1John 4:3). He also revealed that anyone who denies "the doctrine of Christ" (2John 9) is "a deceiver and an antichrist (2John 7). Therefor the idea of only one Mr. Sinister as the antichrist fails the biblical test. Truth can afford to be fair. It has nothing to hide and is willing to examine every iota of evidence. So what did Paul mean when he referred to "the man of sin"? Doesn't this mean a single person?
First of all, Paul used other phrases in 2 Thessalonians to describe this same antichrist, such as "the son of perdition"(vs3), "the mystery of lawlessness"(vs7), and 'that Wicked" vs8 KJV) In Daniels parallel prophecy, this same abominable horror is also called a little "horn"(Daniel 7:8); and in the book of Revelation it is labeled as "the beast"(Revelation 13:2). Almost everyone agrees these words and phrases apply to the same thing. The big Question is do they all apply to only one "Evil Dude", as is commonly taught, or do they point to something wider and deeper__to something most prophesy teachers aren't telling us about?
Notice carefully, Daniel did not say the little horn would be a man, but rather it would have "eyes like a man"(Daniel 7:8). Eyes of intelligence. In the book of Revelation, the same horn is called "the beast". Here's a key question: How does Daniel 7 define a beast? There is no need to guess or to pull an interpretation out of a hat. An angelic interpreter explained to Daniel..."the fourth beast shall be a kingdom on earth"(vs 23). Presto! What is a beast? A man? A giant computer? No. A beast is a kingdom! That's what the angel said. And once again, just like the angels in Acts 1 who watched Jesus ascend into heaven, this angel had his theology right.
Let's go back to Paul's prophecy. A careful study of 2 Thessalonians 2 actually reveals the utter impossibility of "the man of sin" applying to only on Mr. Diabolical. First of all, Paul said that in his own day this very same "mystery of lawlessness [was] already at work"(vs 7) Thus this predicted antichrist was already becoming active in the first century. Paul was also very emphatic that this "mystery" would continue all the way down to the second coming of Jesus Christ (vs 8). Put the pieces together. How could this refer to only one human being? He would have to be 2,000 years old!
Did Paul ever use this expression, "the man" in any of his other writings in such a way that it does not refer to one individual? Yes indeed. Paul wrote:
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Look carefully. Does the phrase, "the man of God," in 2 Timothy 3:17 only refer to only one human who might have a name like Joe, Bill, or Frank? No. Instead, it refers to a succession of godly men throughout history who become "complete" or "perfect"(KJV) through obeying the word of God.
In Romans 13:4(KJV), Paul also used the phrase, "the minister of God" to refer to all civil officers throughout history whom God uses to restrain evil. Therefore, if we let Paul's own writings interpret themselves, his unique phrase, "the man of sin"(2 Thessalonians 2:3), need not apply to one supremely wicked personage. What might it apply to? In the illuminating light of 2 Timothy 3:17 and Romans 13:4, "the man of sin," can properly apply to a historical succession of other men who follow tradition above the Word of Truth.

It's very easy to see a crook, thief, murder, etc but - Look around what do you see, now what do you see world wide, now what do you see in governments world wide, now what do you see the people that are given the power doing world wide?

    Matthew 24: 36-39 -Jesus said

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

    Matthew 24 3-25 - Jesus said

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

The anti-christ, is one real man. The false prophet will point to the anti-christ. Have you thought about satan having his own trinity? The anti-christ will be the equivilent of Jesus, with satan being the father, and the false prophet to be the Holy Spirit. satan mimics the Trinity....God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. That is part of the 'magic' show that satan puts on for all to see.....even down to the anti-christ 'dying' and coming back to life. satan has always mimiced God.... from the beginning of time, and will all the way to the end. he gives out just enough truth to make himself look legit...like the real thing, hooks you, then stabs you in the back. That is his track record. But that is not the answer. Keep searching Scripture. This one is on the difficult side!!

I prefer to let Scripture interpret Scripture and my learning to come from the Holy Spirit.
It seems obvious to me that the majority of today's eschatology teachings are based on theory and bad preaching.

Are we talking about "wolfs in sheep's clothing"

"And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you."

Yeah, I guess something like that. But I see the wolves in sheep's clothing as being more malicious than misled. I'm seeing millions of people being deceived simply due to bad doctrines more than anything.
But yeah, basically the same thing. The sheep's clothing makes them appear to be appealing. I think it is very difficult to recognize a wolf in sheep's clothing. He does look like a sheep after all. But it's his teaching that gives his identity away.
Testing the spirits can only be done by comparing these worldly doctrines to the word of God. If they are not backed up by the Scriptures then I have a real hard time giving them any credence.
I don't see the Scriptures backing up most of the "end times" teachings that are popular in our day. At least not without misunderstanding them. If the Scriptures are misunderstood then it's very easy to believe these common false doctrines.

Okay, I will get somewhat more descriptive. 1 Thess speaks of the rapture of the church. 2 Thess speaks of the 2nd coming of Jesus. Jesus shows up at both events, but Jesus' feet don't touch the earth. 1 Thess 5.We meet Him in the air. What I'm looking for is another reason the rapture has to take place. I have lost the Scripture, and am soooooo irritated. I am still looking. It has to do with the Holy Spirit. I'll keep looking. BAD BAD CRUISER!!!!!!! :(

Anyone who denies God is the anti Christ.
    So technically they're already afoot.

    not religious btw.

There was a time when I laughed about the virgin birth. Now I know it's true.

So at that time in my life I would say I had the spirit of the anti-Christ but not the anti-Christ.
And later when I did allow Jesus into my heart, I was told by a man that he and his wife were praying for me, boy was I surprised. I really didn't know them that good just did some business one hour a week with them.

I think when we look at that Scripture it must be more than this "look he won't agree with me on that there is a God" IMO: we need to look at his whole life cycle at the end will he agree, but yes at the time of rejecting God he was bound by the spirit of the anti-Christ - maybe we should just pray for them and leave it in God's hands.

What do you think, I like to know?

    1 John Chapter 2
18 "Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time."

IMO: In this verse I see the antichrist and many antichrists.

This is showing me the antichrist has a following who have his spirit in them.

When I read "many antichrists" I see the spirit of the antichrist.

    Mark Chapter 16
"15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

    17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Thanks, MM. That makes perfect sense. Don't know where my head was last night. Actually I do. I have a sick 4-legged baby boy, and today he will either die on his own or have to be put down. He's in complete liver failure and there is nothing that they can do. We have asked them for an ultra sound and x-ray to be sure. His blood tests have been in the toilet. All of this happened within 24 hours. He was fine 36 hours ago. This has been so quick that we are completely shocked. He was my 'Little Man.' My heart is in my stomach. I want my husband to take me up there so that I can be with him his last few hours. I don't want him to be alone. Will get back to the board when I can. Vet just called and the tests shows mass on liver. Looks like cancer. Showed NO signs of being sick. I watch our 4-legged kids closely. I have it down to a science.....input and output. I know their behavior. He was somewhat sluggish yesterday when he got up. He was walking like his back hurt. With daschunds, you have to be careful with their weight.I have no idea how long he's had it. This is going to be a bad day for us. Please pray for us.
