I read that you should remove your battery at night, as it still draws power when connected. Witnessed this as true this morning when I realised I left it connected to the atty last night.

Should you remove the battery even if it's just for a few hours between breaks at word, or is it ok to keep it connected for during the day and just disconnect at night?

Thanks in advance for any info!

EDIT: P.S, sorry that should have been "510" and not "501".

Hello and welcome to ecf. Since the 510's are 180 mah they only really last a couple of hours between charges if you vape heavily. You could disconnect it at night, but during the day would be a pita. Would you consider moving up to a Riva 510 or an eGo? They both have much longer battery life and you can still use the same attys' and/or cartos that you use on the 510.

If you have auto batteries and there is any chance of wind or vibration, disconnect the atty since autos can turn on accidentally. I like to leave one or more ecigs set up all night so I bought an extra battery for each. Overnight I charge 2 batteries each for my 2 main ecigs AND leave them set up with the 3rd battery on each of them. I think they just naturally lose some power over time. My batteries are all manuals so they are off, but the short 180mah battery sometimes doesn't have a lot of drags left in it by morning.
