Question about 510 CE2 cartomizers on ego

Hi, newly registered, long time lurker here.

I've been vaping for about 3 months now with my 510, upgraded to some mega batts which fell to pieces from too much dropping so I decided to try out the ego.

I'd been using cartos for a while because I got sick of leaking issues with the 510 carts and I loved them to bits since they seemed to be giving me a bigger throat hit and massive vapor compared to the cart/atty system.

So naturally when I ordered my ego I decided to go with some cartos, I'd read a bit about the CE2 cartomizers (clearomizers) and decided they were for me because I could see how much juice was remaining which is a great idea.

So when my ego arrived I connected it all up but it looks a bit odd with the cartos (pic here: http://i.imgur.com/zZp4Z.jpg)
Naturally I'd like it to look a bit less, intimidating since I vape in public quite a bit.

Is there anything I can get (blank cone piece) to cover the thread etc? To keep that classy ego look going?
I measure it against one of the attys that came with the kit and it seems that if there was a cone that was the same size it'd have a little gap between the cone and the carto.

I've used a cone with my CE2's on an ego, but I had to file to opening a bit bigger with a dremmel otherwise the draw was too tight. Also couldn't fit my drip tips through. So is put the cone on en put my CE2 in from the top.

Looks just like mine except I have the XL ones. I think it looks good.

In my mind, knowing now what I know about cigarettes, I think it looks even stupider to walk around with a smoke between your lips.

You can get a 510 extender that would hold the carto higher. The extender is about the length of a 510 atty I think. I think that would let you put the cone back on? The carto would then stick up above the cone? I saw the extender at MadVapes.

My story's similar to yours. The battery life (or lack thereof) on my 510 was driving me mental, so when I put in an order for the C-E2 I also ordered an ego battery and cone. Best thing I ever did.

I got the Black (ie non-clear) C-E2, and with the black battery and cone my new ego looks awesome. Even with the clear C-E2 I think it would look good.

My advice: get yourself a matching ego cone. For about 4 bucks you'll turn your PV from a frankenmod into something you'd be proud to show off in public.

I use Riva batt with CE2 XL Clearo's, and cone installed all the time. Cone fits over the Clearo without any problem. I also have several eGo batts, a few different mah ratiings. Cone fits over the Clearo on them also. I just use the white mouthpiece plug that comes in the CE2 Carto's. I haven't used regular length Clearo's, prolly never will. I would think you could put the cone on over the Clearo, then install whatever tip you wanted on the Clearo, either regular length or XL. The cone will cover most of the "works" in the standard length Clearo, and with the stock white mouthpiece, would only leave approx 3/8's inch, (approx 5 mm), tip exposed past end of cone. Replace that mouthpiece with your driptip, or other mouthpiece should work fine. JMHO
