901 and 801 are not interchangable, they are different type of threads altogether.

Although 901 and KR808D type threads are usually interchangable.

NO, the threads are different, the 901 will however run a KR8D1 carto, you can also purchase a $2-$3 adapter for those Batts which will transform it to work with the opposite Atty for you instead of having to buy the other Batt or Atty. Hope that helps ya out a bit.

You need a 901-808 adapter to run a kr8 carto on a 901 battery because the 901 battery doesn't have the air channels needed (they're in the atomizer, not the battery). However you can run a 901 atomizer directly on a kr8 battery.

KR808D-1 can use DSE901 atty w/ no adapter
901 needs an adapter to use KR808D-1 cartos - the adapter provides the air intake holes. Some cartos may provide airflow themselves but some depend on the shapes or notches of the threaded end of the battery.

There are 901 to 801 and 801 to 901 adapters so I would think that means they are not the same

All you need to do is buy an adapter for $3.00. No problem. I do it on both my Mods.
