Hey all! I'm not exactly new to vaping, and I'm not new to the forum, just created a new account because I couldn't remember my old login info. Anyway, while I'm not new to vaping, I am lost on certain things which is why I'm here. I have a 3 week old Aegis Solo with .2ohm coils. I want to vape at 65w but the Hohm Life batteries that I purchased aren't powerful enough. I have gone ahead and purchased 4 Molicel p26a batteries after looking at Mooch's recommended batteries. Would one of these be enough to power a .2ohm coil at 65w? I don't have the funds right now to purchase a duel battery mod and this little guy was pretty cheap, especially with my student discount. Thanks in advance!

The Molicel p26a should be enough cell to power a coil up to 75w, if not a little more in the aegis solo, as the low voltage cutoff is a touch higher than most mods.
The CDR of the Molicel is listed by mooch as 25A, and the standard formula for calculating maximum wattage is CDR * voltage, and as the cutoff in the Aegis is 3.3v, you'd get 25 * 3.3= 82.5w most people round down for safety and ease of calculating, so 25*3= 75w

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately, I think I got a bad mod. I got the Molicel batteries today and just finished a full charge. The Aegis is popping up with a battery weak plz lower voltage message. Not great for a 3 week old mod.

Where did you purchase your batteries?
I got the Hohm Life batteries from my local vape shop and the Molicel batteries from Liionwholesale. I forgot to mention that the Hohm Life batteries were giving the same weak battery message which is what lead me to buying the Molicel batteries to begin with.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Definitely sounds like the mod. Same experience I had with my first Cloupor mini.

Get a replacement from the vendor before it becomes too late.

But I couldn't help be notice you said...

Who is giving student discounts on vape gear?

.

My local vape shop gives the discounts. I'm currently a 37 year old in college.

Easier said than done. It's the only one I have at the moment and I won't be able to get to the shop until tomorrow evening, 5pm EST. I have another Solo but the battery cap is stripped to hell and won't screw on.
Would the cap from the new one work on the working mod? Or is the thread on the mod striped?

Wow. That's odd. Geekvape is a good company and the Solo is a good mod. Most definitely contact Geekvape and ask for a replacement under warranty. Also, tell them about those stripped threads on your other mod--this shouldn't be happening, unless you're particularly brutal with your mods.

I am now 100% convinced that it's the mod. I threw the fully charged Molicel into the mod and am only vaping at 45w and the battery indicator shows the battery is at around 50%. I've only taken about 15 hits off of it.

Do you only own one working mod right now? I'd like to know what happens on a different mod. Take it back to your vendor and ask them for help. I assume your charger is OK and is really charging your batteries properly.
