Question About Batteries

I can't search the forum because of error messages so decided to go ahead and post here.


Is a manual battery a battery that isn't chargeable? This is the description. It says it has a charger but the other cigs said rechargeable batteries not manual. ...I am confused, lol.

The Joye 510 Starter Kit comes complete with the following:
(1) Instruction Manual
(2) JOYE 510 Atomizers
(2) Manual batteries
(1) Joye 510 Standard Charger
(5) Prefilled Cartridges (Type/Color dependent on availability)


Just trying to narrow my future purchase down and want to make positive that I get one that is chargeable.

hello. a manual battery is rechargeable it just means there is a button to push to activate it. they are beneficial over the automatic batteries because they are sealed and can't get juice up inside (this would ruin them)


and fyi you may find a cheaper no box Joye ego 510 kit at cignot for 35.00

I first bought an automatic battery & in less than a week I got a manual. I really prefer the manual over the auto, much easier draw

Definitely get manual. manual 510s are fully sealed. And I recommend Joye brand, the original manufacturer. And yes they are chargeable.

hi Jocie...a manual battery is, indeed chargeable. With a slim 510 type battery, the charge typically lasts anywhere between 1-1/2 to 3 hours (depending on how it's used) before it will need to be recharged. Most starter kits come with two batteries, though, so you can use one while the other is charging. Welcome to ECF and to vape'ing

I second getting a cheaper one at Cignot. The manual battery won't fire up due to wind, movement, or vibration, either. Having your battery fire up when you don't want it to can lead to leaks and burned carts (I've also heard that you can burn yourself if the battery is in a pocket).

I agree! The regular 510 batteries don't stay charged for long at all. Or you could get a PCC (the long battery won't fit). I found that very convenient. You keep a battery charging in it and swap them out when the battery dies. You can charge a battery 4 times in a PCC if it's fully charged. If you go to Cignot, they have a kit that includes a PCC.

These batteries joye 510 manuals are good, but soon has to be recharged, so you can buy batteries 650mAh to 1000mAh ego, you will not worry the entire day.
