Question about battery safty

I just received my GLV-2 today. I got the standard 2 x AW CR123A batteries with it. I did read somewhere on the board that after the batteries are charged they should have a 2 hour rest time before they are put into use again. Is this true or did I read this wrong? Do the batteries need any rest time before they are charged when removed from the device? Thanks Dave

Not true.

No rest time is needed for regular usage. About the only reason to let your batteries "rest" is to gauge self discharge. If one wanted to, you could measure voltage off the charger, and again after a specific time period of your choosing (many hours, even a day). Then you have a baseline to gauge the battery health as they age.
