the holes are there to prevent the mod from pressuring and exploding in the event the battery decides to explode. sooooo... NO don't cover the holes.
hope you know what your doing with that mech mod, they can be highly dangerous.
if you spin the locking ring all the way up to fire it and cover those holes there is still venting via the slots in the threading the bottom button
" Can I push it up to cover the holes? "
suggests to me you are wanting to do something outside of the normal function of the device, and in doing so you will be covering up some holes in the body of the mod... do not cover up any holes in the body of the mod..
Nope. I just wanted to know if I can tighten the ring up a smidge because it locks pretty easy when I'm using it heavily. That's all.

Actually, you can cover the holes without there being a cause for alarm. The Nemesis is designed to allow air/gas to escape whether the locking ring is covering the holes or not. The threading doesn't block the holes off when the locking ring is in it's unlocked position. To test this, you can remove the 510 cap, pull the battery and blow into the tube with the locking ring fully covering the vent holes. Air escapes easily and this applies to both the clones and the actual nemesis from Atmomixani.
Covering up the vent holes is normal with mods that punch them in the locking mechanism and some mods will not fire if the locking ring is not fully unlocked, so telling him that he shouldn't unlock the mod all the way is kind of bad advice in this particular instance. It's easy to test this type of stuff
As for mech mods in general, all you need to do is make sure the battery you have can operate at the resistance(s) you're vaping at. So if you have a 1.6 ohm coil and a 10A battery (which is what the EFEST battery you have is rated at), you're pushing 2.62A when the battery is fully charged to 4.2v and 2.31A when the battery drops to normal range of 3.7v; in other words, you're in the safe zone. At resistances of 1-1.8 ohms, you really don't have much to worry about and the battery you have will function as it should without any issues.
If you get into sub-ohm'ing, then the calculator below is going to be a lot of help:
Ohm's Law Calculator
That'll give you an idea of what your capable of vaping at with the battery you have. You fill out two of the fields and hit "calculate" to find out the other details. So if you wanted to run a 1 ohm coil on a freshly charged battery (we'll use the EFEST as an example), simply enter 4.2 in the first box, 1 in the resistance box and click calculate. You'll see that it'll give you the Current required, in Amps, which is what you would them compare to your battery. Yours is a 10A and this build would require 4.2A, so still good to go.
Thanks man. HappyDave still gives good advice but its nice to know I'm okay also with my set up lol

No problem. What I meant by bad advice is, in this particular instance, that it creates a cause for alarm when there shouldn't be one. I'm sure some of the cheaper Chinese clones can be of poor quality, but all I've seen, especially from EHPro, are of nearly identical quality. They tend to produce 1:1 clones that function identically to their real, authentic counterparts. The ones from Tobeco aren't horrible, but they have some threading issues based on the ones I've tinkered with.

I have a HCigar clone.

Same here. One of the best clones I have in my vaping arsenal. With a measured voltage drop of only .21 when I last tested, it works perfectly.
Its my first meck.I was lucky to go to Oregon this past weekend. Shop had it for 39.99 and no tax. Even gave me a free bottle of juice. I enjoy it WAY more than my other mods. I was considering a Provari but now I think I'll hold off for a DNA 20 or 30

i guess its fine as long as the mod has enough vent holes in case the battery vents.
