Hi gang,

I freshly filled a brand new cartomizer (Boge 2.0) and took about 7-8 hits of it..was great, then...the burnt taste. Took the white cap off to see if the filler was saturated...it was.

Any ideas as to why this would be?....or is that particular carto history.....or does it need more juice?

Thanks in advance.

Discovery:

I've watched too many horrible videos on Youtube on filling cartomizers (although some information was good....geez people, put your hat on straight at least :)

I use the condom method but take out the white cap to visually assess the amount of liquid absorbed. Then after a few burn ins (and putting the white cap back on), let it sit for 10 minutes or so, take the white cap off and re-condom it. My thinking is that when initially filling, the juice comes to the top of the filler but that doesn't mean it is saturated. If it isn't wet throughout, then you'll experience a burnt taste...just answered my own question apparently. I did have a burnt taste after about 20 vapes on the second carto.......so, refilled from the battery side and what do you know?.....it sucked up another 1/4 of a cap full.

...it usually take a couple of condom fill to completely fill...in my little vape world, friends don't let friends condom fill...remove white cap, hold at angle and drip 5drops down side, rotate and repeat until the top is slushy looking...set aside for a few minutes and see if it will take another couple of drips...should hold a total of between 20-30 drops...give a light blow on barrel into tissue to clear center air channel, connect and vape...every hour or so of vape time, add 10-15 drops or until slushy looking again.........

Usually, the condom fill saturates a carto well. Sometimes, you get cartos with tight packing and they require time to soak and a few drops in the battery end to wet the coil area sufficiently. After you condom fill a carto, let it sit sideways on a towel for 10 minutes, roll it 180 degrees after 5 minutes and let it soak some more, then test. If needed, drop a few drops in both ends to top it off. I usually let my carto sit in the condom for several minutes to allow it to soak up the juice
