I have no idea what's going on with a PS3 but unless you know the current output on those USB ports is 500 mA USB 2.0 capable I wouldn't do it. An eGo charger requires a minimum of 420 mA current to operate. Even using it on a standard computer port isn't allowing a lot of room for error. If the PS3 ports can't put out 500 mA current you can kiss them goodbye connected to an eGo charger dongle.

Why not just pick up an AC to USB adapter on Amazon for about two bucks instead of risking the PS3?

I would suggest getting a 18650 mod type battery, like a provari or evic or the ego-t 18650 mod. I got an Ego-T 18650 Mod battery and it lasts me about 2 -3 days between charges.

So something with an 18650 will last longer? The provari is very expensive but i may have to shell out lol. I want something that will charge an 18650 battery inside of the mod.

The Joyetech eGo-T 2 APV is that and uses the eGo charger to do it. But they have been out of stock every place I've checked lately. A setup - battery tube, 18650 battery & control head - runs about 30 bucks.

this should help

How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries - Battery University
Charging Lithium-Ion Batteries

Only way to get more vape time is a bigger "storage" device...a 1100 eGo twist or as other said, something with a big ole 18650 in it

$12.69 EGO-C Twist "1100mAh" Variable Voltage Rechargeable Battery for E-Cigarette - silver / 930~950mAh actual capacity at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping - $12.69 - 1100

$11.72 EGO-C Twist 650mAh Variable Voltage Rechargeable Battery for E-Cigarette - black / 3.2-4.8V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping - $11.72 - 650

$2.38 USB Charger for EGO Electronic Cigarette - cable length 25cm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping - $2.38 - charger

$9.56 1100mAh USB Rechargeable Battery for EGO-V E-Cigarette - colored light indicators / adjustable voltages at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping - ego-t variable volt

on those links the little arrow next to the "buy now" shows like a gazillion different colors and sizes

Always good to have a "spare" or two on charge...
Oh and the charger, converts 5vdc 500mA into 4.2vdc 420mA to charge the batteries...it has circuitry that detects the charge pattern and charges to full capacity, any powered USB is fine...you can leave it on there even at full charge...

Yup, but that depends on the mAh Rating of the Battery, for instance let's say your twist is 1000mah, an 2600mah 18650 battery should last you about 160% longer. (If my math is correct), you also get 2200mah and 3400mah 18650's if memory serves.

But yeah, generally the bigger the battery the longer it lasts. Obviously things like the quality of the battery also comes into play.

Right on. In your opinion how would you rank the brands of 18650. Really wanna know so I don't buy something like that and be discouraged I hope you understand.

So Far I've only used Samsung ICR18650-26FU Batteries, and they've served me well, there should be a couple of threads allready on this topic - I suggest using the site's search feature and reading up there.
