I have a mvp on the way and asume my standard ego wall plug will charge it fine but just want to make sure or should I buy a better one maybe? it came from a re branded ego set with two ego 650 mah, two iclears, charger and a case. its output is 5v 1a, is this the stanard to charge ecigs in general or can other wall plugs be used.

just wondering if others are safe also or must it be 5v 1a and nothing higher? I know laptops or most usb devices will charge it but im never on the laptop as I use tablets or my phone and a wall plug suits better. only other usb port I could use would be the ps4 but unsure of the output from it, I know the ps3 works but the usb ports on the ps4 have be restricted from hhd use etc and might of changed the charge output also.

The 5V is a hard and fast limit for chargers (USB ones), although there's a little bit of wiggle room there and you'd still be in spec. Regardless, if the charger is USB, it demands that it be sent 5 volt power.

The amp rating can vary with no harm done (within some limits). Good plug in transformers will supply up to their amp limit and cut it off right there, so even if the device will accept more amperage the plug won't send it. Not so good plug-ins will try, go past their ratings, and either experience voltage droop (voltage goes under 5, even well below) or burn out. That generally doesn't harm the device that's plugged in to it, but it theoretically could.

If the device wants 1 A (I can't find a spec on the iTaste), make sure your plug-in transformer is at least rated for 1 A. If it's rated for 2, 5, or 10, that's fine--the 1 A is a minimum. Your device won't draw more than it can accept (in this instance, 1 A if that's the correct rating), and the plug in transformer won't have any trouble keeping up if it's rated for that or greater.

thank you very much the information, ill have to read the manual once I get it or try there website now for the specs. I have about 5 wall plugs from other devices also, htc with 4.3v 1a, two samsung 5v 2a and two 5v 1a I got with ego set ups. thanks again :):)

The HTC is probably out as the voltage is out of USB specifications. The Samsung is probably fine, and I'd think the plug-ins from the eGo setups would work as well.

My go-to USB charger is a two-port, 5V 2.1A plug in I got off Amazon. It's handy, it has enough power to handle almost anything, and it's durable. There's about five thousand models that are just as good, however.
