Question about cheap clearomizers

I had bought a pack of 6 Ce4 Atomizers eGo-T/510 off of Ebay for 9.99 w/ free shipping, and all the ones that I have vaped with kind of have a reoccurring plastic/off-putting taste when I use them. I thought it was just the juice, but it's the same taste I get on the exhale while using all of them.

Anyone have similar experiences with these style of cheap plastic clearomizers or is there something else going on?

That, I did not... I just started vaping last week, and for whatever reason it didn't cross my mind. It wasn't until after I had put liquid into them, that I realized they weren't the kind I could easily take apart and clean (They looked a lot like Iclear16's, so I just assumed cleaning them would be the same.) I just can't get over the nasty taste that I'm getting while using them. It's completely off-putting.

I just got my Unitank Mini in today, and it vapes like a champ, so I think I'm just going to throw them away. I also have an atomizer for dripping coming in on Monday, so that'll be nice. Think I'm just going to stick with the higher quality clearomizers, since trying to save on $$$ kinda backfired on me.

Well you get what you pay for, but still, try washing (immersing) them out first and then trying before just tossing them. You should do that with anything you buy in the future, especially when it's touching your lips! God only knows what the the guy packing your box was doing before he had his hands on your stuff

Can't tell you what was wrong with the Ce4's, but I'm glad you switched to the Unitank mini. The Protank Mini is a nice clearomizer too. Worth the small investment. I've had all the Protanks, but I have the say that the Protank 2 was by far the best (with smallest amount of problems)

When I started out I used those. The taste you're getting could be oils left over from manufacturing. It could also be the wires of the coil are heating up to the point that it's slightly burning the grommet that separates the positive wire from the negative. Which is what happened to me. If you want to stick with the clearo style atty, I would suggest a protank or evod bottom coil style. You don't throw the whole thing away when it starts to taste bad, you just replace a "head" or "coil assembly" or whatever it's called. Then you can keep the old heads and rebuild them if you want. It's not that hard and saves money in the long run :)

Yeah! I had actually thought I ordered the Protank 2 mini, but it turns out I had accidentally ordered this one instead. I love it, so definitely not a waste of money by any means. Think I'm going to order one of the pro tanks though, as well as a Davide Glassomizer. Loving me the way these fancier tanks work... getting a lot more vapor, which is sexy. :)

I love how there seems to be a video for everything when it comes to e-cigarettes. I'm learning so much by watching YouTube videos, and the community is great with answering questions. I actually thought these ones were unwashable because you couldn't break them down, but low and behold. Thanks <3

And correct me if I'm wrong, but I have an Itaste vv 3.0, and when I hold down both buttons on the bottom, it comes up with the resistance of the tank that's on, and then suggests a voltage for you. (that's what my friend told me anyways... could be wrong lol) So I think I've been running at the right power for most of my tanks.

Yeah, I'm definitely heading down that road to where I'll be using a mechanical mod in no time. I just want to get a little more experience/knowledge under my belt before I dive in. I'm really excited! I just wish I had friends here that could get into it with me... it's a lovely hobby. I'm gonna try to convert my roommates, but we'll see how that goes, kaus they're skeptics right now.

Haha! I know how you feel. My best friend laughed at me at first. Almost two years later no one in the family smokes anymore. Once they see how much you like it and how it helps they might change their minds. Just don't let what they say discourage you!

You'll get there with mods and rebuildables. And I'm guessing you'll love it! Vaping sure is great. You may even venture into DIY juices if you're adventurous. Lol.

Yes!! I'm most definitely going to get into DIY flavors... I've actually already used a "create your own E-Juice" on ECBlends, just waiting for them to come in and taste the verdict. I think it's a lot of fun figuring out unique pairings with flavors, and who knows... maybe I'll end up with a ridiculously good tasting juice that I can market. Probably not going to happen, but it's a fun thought. Have you done much with DIY juices? Are there a lot of reputable manufacturer's out there with high quality base flavors available?

That's all I do now is DIY except the occasional specialty juice from different vendors. I started out using EC blends. Not my favorite but their fruity stuff is alright. Guess I'm spoiled by everything else that's out there. Not a bad place to start though. I get my nicotine base from wizardlabs.us Most out my flavors are from there too. Think I have about 50 or so... It's great because it's high quality nic base and the flavors are sample size and it's one of the cheapest if you just want to try flavors. Really awesome. There's a whole DIY section here that you could spend hours in. Lots of helpful info. But for now, I must sleep. I can't think straight anymore. Ha! I'll hit this thread up tomorrow for sure. Goodnight!

Yeah, I actually have a bunch of juice coming in next week from Seduce Juice, Alice in Vapeland, The Vapor Chef,
Adirondack Vapor, The Vapor Room, and Space Jam Robo Fuel. (basically a bunch of ones suggested on Reddit lol) Mainly wanted to try out EC, kaus I heard it was cheap, yet pretty decent. You'll have to let me know some of your favorites, so I can try them out! I'm on a quest to accumulate as many tasty juices as humanly possible! :)

Anywho, nite nite.
