Please forgive my newbieness but it is only my 6th day. I have a question- like I said in my first post- I have eleven juices that I just ordered but I only have 3 tanks currently and 5 more ordered as well. How do you clean a tank? Can you pour the unused portion of juice back into the bottle? I only have 1 tank that has a large wick which you can see in the tank (again please forgive me for not knowing what kind of tank it is- it came with my starter kit). I do believe with that type you must replace that string/wick. The others are kangertech and mini Davide. However I have no idea how or with what you are supposed to use to clean the tanks before switching juices.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think it's okay to put liquids back into the bottle. As long as the liquid didn't get too dark or burnt from being in your previous tank. I do it all the time. Some people will advise against it, but I haven't had any issues.

Once you empty your tank, you can clean it our with just rinsing with water. Are you using the ProTank 2 and is the Davide rebuildable? If so, you can just take all the parts off and rinse/clean and then put back together. Will help if we knew what devices you were using. Got any links with pics that can show us?

Also, you don't necessarily have to clean the tank when switching juices....as long as you don't mind having the first few hits taste like a combo mix of the old liquid and the new liquid.

It's hard to give you advice on how to clean a tank when we don't know what kind of tank we're dealing with. Would you be able to take a pic of it? I myself mainly use a pro tank 3 but sometimes switch up. Most tanks you can completely take apart and rebuild. The main thing if you are switching juices is to try to clean the coil to get all the juice out of that so they don't mix. It also will extend the life of the coil.

Welcome to ecf. If you can see wicks hanging down, then you can replace the entire inside when it comes time. As with the the others, if they have bottom coil(heads) those too can be replaced when needed.

Depending of type of ejuice you are using determines how easily they can be cleaned. i.e. Darker liquids(after several tank fulls) can be hard to clean out of the wicking. You can take the whole device apart(be careful to notice any small o-rings, don't lose) and run under some hot water and rinse out the tanks. Or you can place in some vodka or everclear and let soak overnight. With the wicks you can see, once cleaned you can dry gently with a paper towel until dry. With the bottom coils, I would let dry naturally for about 24 hrs.

Hope this helps.
:)

To be honest I'm too lazy to take a pic right now. However, the sides say- KangerTech EVOD (around $6) and Anyvape Mini Davide (around $14). My bf bought them.. I was with him, but paid absolutely no attention do to the sampling area! ;) It would have never occurred to me to clean the coil! Great tip! I had a coil burn out after only 3 days! My bf said I let the juice get too low. Again, had no idea... I'm learning perhaps slowly but I'll get there! Thanks so much

How can you clean a tank?
Well I put a coffee cup next to my electric kettle and when I have an atomizer or tank to clean I drop it in the cup and when I boil water to make some coffee I just put some hot water in the cup to soak.

People also soak with alcohol; I've also heard of using vinegar.

Can you pour the unused portion of juice back into the bottle?

After my initial few bottles, developed a couple empty bottles that became my 'current' bottles. So I might have bottles of eliquid, but if I need to put something temporily back in a bottle I got those 'current' or 'active' bottles available to transit or mixing instead of contaminating a bottle with otherwise original unused stuff.

Those wicks you see in clearos are usually silica wick; if you ever have one loose you could try holding one of your old lighters to it to see that the thing doesn't burn in flame.

You have a very good point about not contaminating the original juice. I will give this thought.. It may be wise to purchase a few empty bottles! Thanks so much!

I soak vaping parts in cheap vodka (Bartons $8/liter) for hour/hours to elimimnate flavors from previous liquids. Water, hot even, doesn't cut it for me. Vodka does.

Wicks themselves do not clean well however. They get gunked up over time depending on the liquid. There isn't a solution to this unless you earn how to rebuild. Just being honest.
