Question about DIY.

So a few days ago I got my order of my DIY stuff in the mail. I sat down last night and made up a couple bottles, trying to get the measurements as close as humanly possible so where they needed to be.

I am currently vaping one of them. Wanted to see how it turned out, and I am letting the others steep for a while. Just to make sure the flavor was ok. I did a cheesecake flavor, 80/20 vg primary, with 6mg nicotine vg base that i diluted to 3mg. I made a 10ml bottle so the calc came out to 20% flavor, 2ml, vg 3ml, nic vg base 5ml.

My question is... this is pretty good. little light on the flavor, but pretty tasty. But only after a few pulls, i kind of feel off. Little sick to my stomach. Any way of knowing if this is due to the liquid? Any way to tell if you messed up along the way somewhere?

Thanks guys. Saves a ton of money mixing your own and i dont wanna mess it up and not be able to do it haha. Currently all of my storebought juices are 80/20 or max vg. none have given me stomach problems at all. This would be a first. If it even is because of the liquid.

Did you shake up your nicotine solution before mixing with it? The nicotine can float to the top after a period of storage, especially with a pure VG carrier base. You really have to give it a long thrashing to make sure it's blended well. You may have skimmed some high-test off the top when making your little bottle.

Could be unrelated to vaping or a Nicotine problem as stated by others. Whenever nicotine is to be mixed/introduced, I find. I really need to shake thoroughly. Flavors are highly unlikely to cause stomach problems for me. Could try testing a different flavor to see if the problem is still present. More stomach problems may tend to eliminate a flavor intolerance and point to improper nicotine handling.

Ah, that could be the issue, i shook the bottles before putting them in the shelf to steep, didnt shake it before i popped it in the tank though. That could be the issue, thanks for the input!

Nicotine solution expecially in VG if mixed corrrectly from the manufacture or vender does not seperate easily so I doubt the pure nicotine floated to the top or developed hot spots or pockets of nicotine in the solution. But just to be sure when first using a new batch warm it to thin it and give it a good shaking. Although upset stomach can be a sign of to much nicotine. If it was way over the desired limit you would also experience light headedness, feel flush and a heavy feeling in your chest. So it could be nothing more then a natural reaction that many have experienced expecially if your new to vaping and your body will adjust fairly quickly. Sometimes when vaping for a long time juice collects in the mouth peice and a little drips into your mouth and gets swallowed. This really won't harm you unless you intentionally drink a large amount but it may cause a bit of nausia and it tastes awful. You also said that you diluted your 6mg nic to 3 mg and I would imaging you shook it so that would reduce the over nic or NIC pocket theory as well.

You should experiment a bit to see what's causing this. You can vape the VG alone then the PG alone. If neither of these cause it then carefully mix your NIC base without flavoring and see if that causes it. If still OK then it may be a sensitivity to a flavoring causing it or It may just be that your body needs to get used to it and you just need to backoff on the amount your vaping a bit. Many years ago I went through the same thing when I first started.

Thanks for all the replies guys! I ate and drank some water last night after it started and let it sit for a while without vaping. May have been something unrelated to the vape as i was able to pull on it the rest of the night with no issues! I appreciate everyones help! everyone around here is so nice!
