Hey all - relatively new vaper here (about a month and a half). This post isn't about me though.

Personally, I have a 510 and love it, but my friend (who actually turned me on to this whole idea) bought a Green Smoke.. against my advice.

Anyway, he's actually happy with it, except for his battery life. I'm getting myself a custom battery for my 510, but I have a world of options open to me. However for the life of me I can't seem to find any information on what type of mods would work with the Green Smoke/E9. I heard a rumor that the 901 battery connector kind of, sort of works, maybe? But since the green smoke is automatic and most (all?) mods are manual, I have no idea how that works with the airflow, even if a mod with a 901 connector would fit on it.

Does anyone have any experience with using custom batteries for a Green Smoke, or any other tips I can give this guy to help out with his battery problems in general? He's constantly charging them and seems frustrated, but he has a lot of cartridges and fills them up himself when they get empty, so he's very happy with that part of it and won't abandon the model all together.

Thanks!

Kurt

My first ecig was a GS. For a 2-piece it is actually a good product, but overpriced, and tends to get sold to the uninitiated due to a few online vids...looks like the way to go if you don't know better. It did me. Rather quickly after getting it, and a discounted 2nd kit and a bunch of carts from another seller, I wanted something better. For me that was the 510 and the GS is sort of the "backup" now, which means I'm too obsessive to sell it.

There are no e9 mods that I know of, and I've looked a lot. You can get batts elsewhere, but I think GS went with a thread set that is hard to get off-brands for, so they could corner their little market.

FYI, however, the GS passthrough is one serious piece of vapage. Runs at 5V, and is a solid beast of vapor. Recommended, but also expensive, at ~$50. That it is clearly higher voltage...run it side by side with a 510 PT, and you WILL notice a big difference...means that in some ways the PT is a mod because it ups the voltage from an e9 batt. The e9 batts are rather short lived, unfortunately.

What I didn't like about GS is you could only use their flavors, which are not nearly as good as the ones you will be able to make for your 510. The PT is a sure goto for massive nic blast, however...its just not gonna taste all that great.
