so lately ive been researching alot about two pvs in particular one is the provape provary and the other is the ego. so durring my research i have found that different companys that cary egos like janty have different egos that go by the same name supposedly. i was wondering if when you buy an ego if it matters where you buy it from. someone said in a reveiw that the janty ego was supposedly the way to go while ive seen other users buy egos from different companies that come in different boxes with the same name on the device while carrying a different companies name on the box. please help shed some light on this. also i do not want a tank ego as i would prefer to drip my own juice into it using a drip tip.

if there is a difference between companies could anyone give me a list of a bunch of companies that cary egos? thanks

As long as you make sure first that the manufacture is Joyetech you are all right if you want a authentic Ego as there is knock off models everywhere which is fine as long as they adjust there price as they are cheaper especially when they're bought in bulk. Clouds of vapor and Nhaler are 2 of the places I know that sell joyetech egos I believe although there's many more.

I have experience with both authentic Joye Ego's and a few of the knock-offs. Because the suppliers in China will print anything you want on the box it has been difficult to tell them apart. Bauway is a manufacturer of an ego knock-off and to be honest there is little to no difference. Ego, Riva, Tornado are pretty much the same product as far as looks and performance. I have had bad luck with both real Ego and knock-offs alike so as far as Im concerned its all about finding the best $ for a starter Kit.

I saw a few in the classified section for $40 which is about $10 cheaper than a standard for an Ego Kit. Here is the Link:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/classifieds-swaps/157830-ego-kits-40-2-75-black-silver-platinum.html

The guy selling them sells quite a bit on here and is reliable.

Hope this helped out

I got my genuine Joye eGo from Liberty-flights. Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Joye eGo be sure to click the 20% off logo on the top left and you can get a complete 2 e-cig kit for 40 bucks. That is where I got mine and it has been working perfectly for the couple months I have had it. Liberty-flights is an ECF vendor with their own forum here. I had a great experience with them and they processed and shipped my order quickly (I believe shipping is 2.99 so no price gouging like some other vendors like to do).

I see you mentioned the provari. I actually just placed an order for one 2 days ago. While it is in a totally different league than the eGo, the provari is a mod that is produced only by provape. It is certainly one of the most versatile mods out there right now with variable voltage in .1 volt increments to find your own sweet spot with whatever atty/carto you are using at the time. Good luck and Vape on!

Imo save your money and buy provari. Egos are not bad but the hits can become weak even after a full charge "standard 510 atty". You find your self cleaning atty alot because ego don't burn some of the juices that good. With provari it does not matter and I order one few days agos. But i am using 5v tekkon mod right now and it hits little to hard. The good is i have not needed to clean my atty at all. But it's alot better then the ego to. The hits stay the same.

Egos are not true 3.7 e-cig they run near 3.2. I have ran MOD WITH FRESH CHARGE 14500 thats was around 4.2 and I love the hits taste ect. but that don't last long because it was not regulate and battery drop so did the performance.

If you like vaping save your money get a good vv mod!!!! If you are new get a ego kit see if you like it.

Second if you do get provari and you do not like it or any good mod. you can put it up for sell on this forum and it well sell very fast at near the price you paid for it. Last provari I seen for sell sold with in 5 hour for 150.00 ship and that was just for the pv and 1 battery.

I have had my riva (ego clone) for about a month. I am going to buy a provari. I was/am unhappy with the performance and size of the riva. The picks make it look big. The 750 mah batt is only about 2 1/2 inches and 1/2" in diameter. It misfires in my pocket all the time, the vapor is cold, and it's way to small for me. The provari is 4 1/2 inches without the atty, much more substantial in size. It also has an on/off function. The vv will allow you to dial in what is right for you. No more spending money on lots of pv's to find what works for you. In the riva's defense, it did get me to kick analogs, but I want something better. I don't know what that is, but the provari will do it all! This is just my honest opinion. Good luck to you, and congrats on taking the first step to kick the analogs!

Welcome back, Babs92.

Someone already told you about Liberty Flights. They sell genuine eGo's. They mentioned the 20% discount and every order ships for just $2.99. They are a reliable supplier.

I, too, wanted something different from the eGo. I tried a popular variable volt model and didn't like the size. Found out the higher voltage vaping was not for me. I tried to like it, I wanted to like it, but I really didn't. I guess I'm one of those people who don't like the higher power ?? Tried a different model and had button problems.

Since then, I've been sticking with my eGos which have been awesome performers. The 900mah eGo batteries seem to be best for me - right now. I am using the T-Tank system and I drip. Dripping provides me with the best and most consistent flavor. T-Tank (for me) weakens the flavor. I purchased the T-Tank to use while I am driving. Mission accomplished.

My ProVape-1 is sitting at the post office right now. I know you are looking at the ProVari vs the ProVape-1. I had several questions about the ProVape-1 and the folks at ProVape responded to my inquiries within an hour. I was very happy with the way they answered me and handled my mundane, silly questions. Apparently, the ProVape customer service has a great reputation. I have found that to be true.

Hope this helps a little.
Happy Vaping,
Paula

Ego's - janty/joye and Tornado's- totally wicked are exactly the same. Most Riva's are totally compatible although I've found that the threading on a few Riva batts is cheaply done and you can get cross threaded if not careful. If you go that way, find an atty that fits the Riva well and continue to use that one - after a while, other attys that wouldn't fit will now fit. The Riva SE (special edition) has better voltage than the others and results in better vapor and many like the buttons on the Riva better. Pretty sure the eGo/Riva would be smaller than the provari. I'm pretty sure it's the same size as the old puresmoker Protege and the newer Icon - both of which are larger than the eGo. And with the various ohm'd attys one can get these days the variable voltage mod isn't as useful as it once was. Still I do have a variable Big Brother and I like it but rarely change the voltage level :)

Anything that is Janty or Joyetech is the real thing, but the knockoffs are just as good (I've used both). Big differences (using the Riva as that is the one I've used the most, next to the eGo) are the Riva has a slightly (750mah vs 650mah) battery, I prefer the button (hard plastic vs smaller rubbery button) on the eGo, eGo has silver bands where the Riva has gold bands... that's about it.

If you're at a computer a lot (or in the car) the eGo USB Battery is great, charge and vape at the same time!

I have a Provari with MAP tank now, liking it so far... but it's only been a week.
