question about flavor/harshness

I ordered my first set of juice and decided to go with MyFreedomSmokes after all the good reviews it has received. I decided to go with the sample pack of 6 10ml bottles. 5 of the 6 are 18mg (coffee, cappuccino, creme de menthe, vanilla, and RY4) the other bottle is 24mg coffee. As a coffee drinker(borderline addict ) I expected to love coffee and also wanted a way to gauge the difference between 18mg and 24mg. However, do my disappointment, it seems extremely harsh. The RY4 flavor is great, Im almost out of it already. Neither it or the Creme de Menthe flavor were harsh at all. The Creme flavor is definitely the most smooth. The coffe flavor though, by comparison is so harsh that I dont even want to use it. No matter how slow of a drag I take its feels like Im burning my throat. If I try to take a shorter drag its still harsh and I dont get enough vapor. I thought the harshness might be due to the nicotine, so I switched down from the 24mg to the 18mg and its the same story (though it does seem slightly less harsh). The cappuccino flavor also seems about as harsh as the 18mg coffee. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it possible that it was just a bad batch?
Also, I was thinking about buying some 24mg double flavor in RY4. Would I notice a difference in harshness from the 18mg?

Protest, I haven't tried the coffee flavor yet but you can always cut the 24 mg w/ a few drops of VG and see if it helps to remove the harshness... It will lower the strength a tad as well depending on how much you use and it will also lower th eflavor a bit... OR it mau just be one that needs a bit of vanilla mixed to it, or caramel, or regular tobacco, or cream, ... etc etc- You can try a mix that won't change the coffee flavor TOO much but make it less harsh...?? Best I can give ya on advice since I haven't tried it yet...

All of them were 18mg strength (except I have 18mg and 24mg coffee). The vanilla definitely seems harsher than RY4 but not as bad as coffee or cappuccino. The flavor is good, but it seems a little harsher than I would think it should be. Vapor production is awesome. As far as color, its a dark, almost burgundy red with maybe i tiny brownish tint.

This is something I haven't heard with regards to the coffee flavors. Let's see if we can figure it out. Did you order it with double flavoring?

I just recieved my order of capuccino 36mg and Marlbro 48mg. Have not tried the Marlbro yet the Capuccino was harsh at first, I think it's great now! It's now my favorite and great vape production. It seems to get smoother the more you vape.

Protest, I'm not real sure what could be going on, but if you like I could send you some 6mg or 12mg coffee and cappuccino to lower the nicotine level and see if that helps. Let me know.

I have sort of the reverse problem. I ordered the sampler pack in 18mg strength and it's just too weak for me; I like the throat kick and they're just not harsh enough. I'm not sure how to salvage them. If I cut them with a high-nic unflavored juice, I'll probably lose too much of the flavor. I guess I could just order the same juices in a high-nic (36 or 48) and mix them together? Does that sound like a workable plan? I'm a bit wary because some of them are fruit flavors and it may just be that I don't care for fruit flavors. (yet)

On the other hand, I ordered Parliament in both the 36mg and 24mg and I do mix them together to make a 30mg vape... and I love it! It's perfect.

if you get some of the 60mg/ml unflavored then you can up the nic of your juice very easily, it shouldnt take much with such a high nic juice to bring it up to what you need.

Hey Vaping,

Glad you have come up with an alternate solution. I had to do the same thing when I started. I didn't want to get too high in nic content but then it just wasn't enough, so I did just like you. Please keep us informed, I will be curious to hear if it works for you.

My evil plan worked brilliantly! I mixed the 18mg + 48mg, added a bit of VG for better vaping, and it's perfect!

The Amaretto @ 24mg is just right as is. I love it.
