Question about Juice/Liquid color

Hi,

Is it common to have different shades of coloring to the juice? I have read that most come from the same supplier overseas and are sold by different importers in the U.S.

I have juice from two different U.S. sellers, both menthol flavored -- one is more of a clearish color and the other supplier's is much more yellowish. Both are PG.

Thanks for any clues.

Thanks for the replies. They are all the same strength.

My curiosity comes from the fact that the darker yellow colored one seems to hang "heavier" in my chest than the clearer ones. I have noted, since I posted the first time, that some of the flavored ones from the first company also have more of a yellowish tinge too, so maybe it is the flavoring component.

It also could be just a big "mental duh" on my part as menthol may seem lighter to my lungs than the sweeter flavored ones. That's really my concern. (Guess I want to make sure that nothing else is going into these products as my kids are concerned about them being from China.)

Anybody else notice this difference in how they feel to your lungs? Thanks again -- I sincerely appreciate the responses.

I have chocolate juice in 18mg ordered a few weeks ago that is darker brown than the same type of chocolate 8mg juice I received today from the same company. (18mg=dark blrown; 8mgs pinkish)

I thought that the flavor would be the coloring and that the the lower the mgs the more flavoring would be added, thus, lower mgs darker liquid.

Anyone have any information about mgs and color?
Now I am wondering is the opposite true or is the color dependent on the batch or is there some other variable that makes the color?

The following statements are from knowledge gleamed from reading the information here on the ECF. I am no chemist!
Flavorings do change the color.
Nicotine also has color ranges. Depends on the purity.
Chemical reactions also happen when the flavoring and nic are mixed and for how long (old) you have had them. The e-liquids seem to darken with age and exposure to air, light and temperature.

I read where someone had two bottles of the same flavor from the same company. The second bottle was lighter in color, and had less of a flavor. When they asked the company why, the reply was the second bottle needed to be "aged". Which meant to be left at room temp with the cap off a couple days. The thread then moved to why the company would sell an unaged 30ml bottle that will evaporate 3ml after this aging and darken up. So the buyer paid for 30ml and only had 27ml after aging. Can't find the thread now.

Many juices are made in the US....all of the ones I buy are. I don't vape China juice...hate it. The flavoring does change the color. I can't imagine that aging a juice could evaporate 3ml out of 30ml. I guess it could happen, but not in my experience....we're only talking about leaving it sit for a day or two. In fact, I "age" mine with the lid on....it just needs time for the flavor to settle in or the flavors to blend. That's what I call aging. Most of the vendors listed on these forums are U. S. companies that make the juice the day you order it....so it needs time to blend a little. Although I vape mine usually the day I get it, I do notice that they get better with time. I don't worry about color...or differences in color. It doesn't affect the taste as far as I know. The only thing I try to avoid is getting a really dark juice....it gunks up the atty sometimes. Sometimes I don't even mind that....it's worth the risk: Coffee, for instance. Although some coffee juices (vaporbomb, e.g.) are almost clear. It just depends on the brand of flavoring used.
