I just got the evod vv yesterday. From the information I've seen, you need the charger that you had for the evod. I expected it to work the same but when I connect the batery to the charger, the light on the battery comes on and stays on and the indicator light on the charger switches back and forth from red to green to red to green etc; I have been looking for some more info but what i have found online says it should just charge like the evod 3.7v. Probably going to try to get ahold of someone at Kangertech and ask them.

Are you charging from a USB port on your computer? If so, I recommended getting a wall adapter for USB chargers. You'll get a better performance and your computer will be safe.

My charger also flickers from red with the occasional green flash...I believe that is normal...maybe the charger "sampling" the charge on the battery so it doesn't overcharge, thus it knows when to stop pushing the charge into the battery as well.

Very timely question, starter kit user with a new vv battery that just arrived as well. Getting the same LED behavior when I plug in mine. Am concerned because it appears the starter kit chargers output at a higher rate (500ma/h) than the chargers currently available separately (450). Going to try to contact Sun Vapers for an answer. Thanks all!

Katya...I'm using the wall charger. I have the one from my Evod starter kit and another I ordered along with the new batteries. Both do the same thing with both vv batts.
WarHawk....I hope it's all good lol. i would be a bit unhappy if these new toys didn't work....
Thanks for the responses!

I don't know what else to tell you. I have a Joyetech charger (420 mAh output) and I use it with a generic (500 mAh output) wall wart. I just put my Twist on the charger--no flickering. Just a steady red light. Some green light flickering at the end of the charging cycle is normal.

I know that those chargers can be temperamental, though. Sometimes just cleaning the contacts with 91% isopropyl alcohol helps. Also, you may try to unplug and unscrew everything and start over--it helps reset the charger. If you're concerned, contact your vendor.

I have a similar thing with the charger that I have. It came with an eGo-t which I bought from vape juice bar in Milton Keynes on the market after upgrading from a socialite zero e-cig as the cartomisers were getting ridiculous (£10 for 5 1 a day should rename them cashomisers) the wall adaptor got really hot and blew up tripping the breaker, but the USB to battery part seems to work fine when I attach it to the eGo the led goes red until it's charged which takes 7+ hours. At the weekends got miffed with this ridiculously long charging time which was supposed to be 3 hours according to vape juice bar's website (I did email them about the exploding charger still awaiting a reply 10 days and counting)and decided to purchase another battery which is a genuine kanger evod vv when I plugged this one into the USB charger it flashes from red to green which it only does when I first plug in the eGo. I think the charger may be duff as I've had the evod plugged in for nearly 6 hours now. Time for a new charger methinks

Makes no difference. As long as the output of your charger is less than the battery capacity, you're fine--420, 500, it's all good.

The only danger comes from trying to charge a small capacity battery (like a 280 mAh 510 battery) with a fast (420 mAh output) charger. It can fry your battery.

I think so. I use a Joytech charger and a wall wart, but Kanger charges should be just as good.

The math is really simple--if your USB charger outputs 420 mAh (miiliAmps per hour), it should charge a 900 mAh battery in a little more than 2 hours (provided that your battery is empty, which it shouldn't be, BTW.) Li-Ion batteries like to be topped off, rather than allowed to fully discharge.

BTW, you really need to have more than one charger--those things may malfunction or die for no good reason.
