question about kiklet cap and air flow

hey. I just placed an order for a p+ this morning, and also ordered a spare kiklet cap. I have since sent an email requesting the p+18650 come with a kiklet cap instead of a slant cap after reading they are more likely compatible with different tanks with overhanging bottoms. I noticed that they have slots for air flow, but they don't extend to the 510 connection. if I am using smoktech dct and vivi novas, will the kiklet cap need a 510 adaptor? mostly just concerned with using the dcts, won't care if the vivis need one. sorry I seem indecisive, I am just tired of relying on these adapters. Thx!

Erich, even though I don't use dct cartos, I can guarantee at 100% certainty that you will not have any problems with directed airflow with the new Kicklet cap. I'm looking at mine right now. You can,virtually, block the whole top cap with your tanks, and you will still have excellent airflow.


No need for adaptors due to airflow with this cap.

You are right, Erich. There's no slots on the 510 connection. Basically disregard my Speedy Gonzalez answer . Oh,... and I apologize.

The slots don't need to extend to the 510 connector as the connector is on a lower plane then the flat of the cap and the air holes on your 510 tank coonection are not blocked when the tank is tightened down. Also, I've now also raised the center pin height .010 which should cure most connection problems some were having with certain shorter male 510 connectors. No adapters are needed.
