I just got it in the mail today with the 510 adapter. I put the atty that came with it on it and I'm wondering if it is normal that it doesn't screw on all the way. It looks like it could screw on a few more turns but it is snug and I don't want to tighten it more and risk breaking it. I've seen the video about tightening them too much and breaking out the middle of the adapter.

Is it supposed to be like that? I tried another atty and it's the same.

Yes it is supposed to be like that.

Cash posted about it somewhere...

The gist was they raised the center post to accomadate atties with a shorter stem. Otherwise if your longer stemmed one would screw all the way down, then the shorter one could not make contact.

They felt it was better to have a slight oddness in fit with the longer stemmed ones than a failure to opperate with the shorter atties.

It is possible to adjust the position of the center post to snug it up if you so desire however, but then you would need to readjust it for use witht he shoter atty type if you ever got any.

Hope this explains it :)
