To get into the corners and to apply an even coat, I applied Howard feed-n-wax with an artist's brush and then let it sit for two days. Now my door is a bit warped. It was a perfect fit before I did this :(

I waxed all my wood Reos and now I'm worried the same will happen with them. Is the waxing really necessary?

In the 2nd photo, the left hand bottom corner of the door tilts inwards and the right hand bottom corner of the door is raised. It might not look like much but I can feel the ridge all the time.

Is there a way to fix this please?

Did you wax both the inside and outside ? I would give it a good rub with a soft cloth to make sure the wax is all absorbed and then hope it comes back. Wood has a memory and hopefully it returns to its original shape.

Yes I did Darrel and I was careful to apply it as evenly as possible. Fingers crossed it doesn't have Alzheimers! :)

stravaigin ,

Try putting a wood clamp on it, set it up so all is perfect, then tighten up the clamp, leave it like this for a couple of days stravaigin.

Would binding it with something like duct tape work instead? I don't really want to buy a clamp if I can avoid it, as it's something I'd probably only use once Matthew.

It is an amazing (sad) coincidence I think ???

I have a hard time believing it is the waxing that caused it but I guess its possible.
I've never waxed any of mine, just a quick wipe down once and a while.
I've actually taken very fine 000 steel wool to a couple of mine to kill the sheen and make them feel more natural in the hand.

My original Oak woodvil developed a warped door after 5-6 months, it use to bother me but i've become used to it.

Hope you get her back to ship shape.

A clamp may not even work wood can do this and never go back .Try stacking some heavy books on the mod if you don't have a clamp. The mini woodvils are more prone to this the doors are thinner then the other wood mods .If it decided to stay were it is you can always sand the door so the edges line up. Leaving the door off for long periods is not really a good idea the dove tail system helps keep the door in check. Some doors never move and others have a mind of there own its wood these things can happen. If it drives you crazy send it in I can always replace the door .I always have walnut in the shop I could even send you a door but you would have to sand the door and for the best results sand it on the mod .

I'll try stacking the books on it and I do know a couple of people that would sand the edges for me. I'm not game to try the sanding myself

Thanks so much Rob and thanks also to the Reonauts who answered :)
