Hey guys and gals I'm new to the forum but not new to vaping. I have been building okr 50 watt boxes for a few weeks and everything has been good now here is my point of this post:

I own a Monarch okr box and when looking at the wiring it seems to only have 4 wires running to the chip, it seems that the #1 pin is snipped off clean, pin 1 from my understanding is the chips on/off and is wired to the push button.

I'm curious if this is a new way to wire the chip because it would open up the box and allow for an even cleaner wiring job.

If you are familiar with the Duke, Monarch, Hexohm, and probably others please chime in and maybe I can figure out a new way to wire!

Pin one is used when using an under rated switch to actuate the OKRT-10, when using a switch rated for the correct range it can be placed placed on pin 2 to complete the circuit. The use of pin one allows you more options for switches but using pin 2 along with PPTC and MOSFETS will give you reverse battery protection and a cushion for the chip to not fry in case of catastrophic failure.
