i vaped for awhile a few months ago until all my bats went dead. now i am back on the ape train and have a few questions:

bats/chargers:
how long does a normal battrey last on a 510 until it wont hold a charge? mine seemed to last a depresingly short time (5 or so months with equally rotating 5 bats). any tricks i should know about to increse the life span? (i have 2 wall chargers [normally i dont use them], a usb charger, and a pcc)

passthrough:
picked one up and it was great while the battery lasted. i just assumed the passthrough charged the bat but i guess i need to charge that up with an external charger? if that is the case then why do passthroughs even have batteries?

EDIT: just went to radioshack and got some batts that look the same (AAA cell phone batteries) but the mAh (what ever that is) is 850 while the one that came with the passthrough is 360. will it hurt to put the radioshack batteries in or is it fine?

I'm not sure exactly how long a normal 510 battery should last. I had some that lasted about six months and actually still work, but I now use an eGo. Are your batts manual or auto? Do you drip or use carts?

The passthroughs with the inline batt SHOULD charge that battery while plugged in. Have you tried leaving it plugged in for a little bit before using it? I'm not sure about the batts from Radio shack. They also make passthroughs without the inline batt now. I believe they run at 5V and are pretty cheap.

Honestly, if I were you, I'd pick up an eGo

Probably the wrong voltage. DO NOT USE 1.5V NIMIH BATTS. The PTs come w/ 3.7v liIon batts. They are not interchangeable. My advice is that those inlinebatt PTs just don't last. I killed two of them in less than a month. I think they are just not up to the task of chain vaping. My advice is to invest in a USB eGo batt. Works just like a PT, but you can unplug the cable and use the batt like a regular eGo. Goodprophets.com has a pretty good deal on them. I got mine from VapeMasters.com for $25 shipped, but I am pretty sure they are out of stock.
