Question about PG and VG and flavors from MadVapes

I'm thinking of ordering from madvapes, I hear they're good. I'm wondering which premixed liquid is the best...

China e-liquid or
Top Vapor e-liquid

What is the real difference between PG and VG. Is one harmful as vs the other or are they just the same thing made from different sources.

Lastly, I used to smoke Classic Milds and 555(light not hard). I'm ok with menthol but not a big fan. What flavor would be the best to emulate the feel of smoking a regular cig?

Thanks

PG and VG are not the same, and vape differently. Blends in the 50/50 to 80/20 (pg/vg) range seem to work best. The inexpensiveness of the Dekang liquids is pretty nice, but the one I tried wasn't to my liking. Due to the cost I'd be tempted to try more as bases for mixing, since pure PG tends to dry out my throat, something it's bound to do given its properties.

As I mentioned in your other thread, TopVapor vapes well. If you can imagine a Dekang tobacco and TopVapor flavor mix you'd enjoy (Virginia + cherry blossom, RY4 + Nutty Caramel, etc.), that might give you the best vaping experience for the money if you choose to buy from MadVapes. I prefer to get liquid from vendors that specialize in their own tobacco flavors, and TopVapor doesn't seem to offer a tobacco. I order liquid from MV once in a while when ordering other supplies.

I have used MadVapes and can tell you which ones I like but everyones taste buds are different so keep that in mind.
I always order usa and 50/50 from them, but prefer vg. and very little pg, sometimes non at all.
Here are the ones I've liked and would order again. chocolate macaroon, raspberry truffle, cheesecake, apricot. all were nice flavors.

I tried a selection of 7-8 samples from MadVapes "Top USA" juices and almost all of them tasted very artificial. For me, that was unpleasant. Others may like that sort of thing. The only real keeper of the ones that I got was Fried Apple, which was actually quite good indeed and a nice strong flavor for a morning vape. I did not try any of the tobacco flavors, however, or any of the 4 recommended flavors that Grandma SJA listed above.

PG is Propylene Glycol. VG is Vegetable Glycerine. PG generally tastes better with flavors added. VG has slightly less taste for the same amount of flavor added, but huge clouds of vapor.

Mix the two and you get the best of both worlds. My favorite mix is 70/30 pg/vg as sold by Don at Backwoods Brew Try some 555 from them and you might find a daily vape.

Vaping will never be EXACTLY the same as tobacco cigarettes, but you will eventually prefer the Ecig for its taste and the vast number of flavors. Replicating the analog experience is best done with an ecig that feels like an analog (like the 510 and its equivalents). But, you will eventually want longer battery life and a larger cart that holds more juice.

The reason that ecigs don't taste like regular tobacco cigarettes is that there is no burning and no ash component in an ecig. When you smoke an analog, some of the microscopic particles of combustion actually make it through the filter and the tobacco into your lungs. These particles coat the inside of your lungs with tar and cause irritation. The lungs respond by coating over the particles and that can result in tissue growth that eventually becomes cancerous. Enough reason for the ecig being a better vehicle for your nicotine delivery? No? Well, PG is used in hospitals in breathing treatments to moisten the lungs, promote expulsion of mucous and to deliver medicines into the lungs. It's also being used in hospital HVAC equipment to introduce tiny droplets of pg into the air. The pg droplets collide with germs and sneezed droplets. When they collide, the heavier PG merges with the nasty stuff in the air and takes it to the floor, where it can be mopped up and discarded.

Vaping is, according to all sources, a better and hopefully safer way to get your nic.

Swimfan;

I like all 3 you mentioned. I did not care for the Chinese Dekang, to me it was awful, tasted like old gym socks smell. I added some banana nut bread to it and that helped. I have not had a bad flavor from madvapes topvapor yet. I must say wintergreen is really nice on those days that tobacco flavors just will not do it. (just to add to your list.) :) The topvapors are a nice vape, just enough TH and "smoke" or plumes of vape, to give a real analog feel. All of this is just my subjective opinion, YMMV.
