People just don't know how to research on eBay it seems. B&Ms are also a little more, but in my opinion if it's $5 or $10 difference I'll usually support the local store. I see this used price being higher in the local Facebook group or even in the classifieds on here before. This dude was trying to sell just the istick 50w and USB cable for like $60 when you can buy it new for cheaper. He hasn't sold it, part of me hope someone isn't dumb enough to buy it. What gets me is, the person selling it charging much more than new. Like they're greedy and trying to take advantage of someone new.

Yeah, I always hate seeing people taken advantage of, but at the same time when people are, more often than not it is their own fault for neglecting to do any research first. But I'm with you, if he has to sit on it long enough then maybe he will learn that even 50% of new for a used item is a bit on the high side!

I see stuff like that on Amazon. Plus when something costs roughly 10 bucks and there are a bunch of listings for $9.99, someone will list the same thing for $999.00.

They're hoping someone misreads it for whatever reason and pays 100x what they should.

lol.. I avoid amazon like the plague for just that reason.. its not just a few sellers on amazon, its the majority so amazon is just a waste of my time in even going there..

And stay away from B&M stores. You're basically always gonna see 30-50% markup vs online. And they often to give lousy (and sometimes even dangerous) advice.
I wouldn't say stay away from your local b&m totally. Yeah their prices can be a little more and sometimes a lot. But you should support your local economy as long as the price is within reason and the shop isn't full of buffoons just looking to make a quick buck off the unknowing patron. There are some that have very helpful nice peeps. Now as far as the shops in my town go...I wouldn't dawn their doorstep if someone paid me to. So I do all my shopping online unfortunately or fortunately whatever way you should look at it.

Ahh.. okay.. yeah there are none around here.. and I am not driving an hour and a half.. ordering online is about my only option at current moment. But its good to keep in mind should one happen to open up..

Also keep in mind, at a B&M location you're talking to one person and that one person is trying to get you to make a purchase. On ECF no one gains by you making a certain purchase so you're just getting the best advice people have to offer. Plus you get to see a lively debate where people (ideally) are demonstrating why their position is correct, as you can see.

I just wanted to say european vaping supplies are great and have amazing deals, I got a eleaf 40w tc kit, with 510 eco thread and it comes with a gs tc atomizer, and I paid 40 maby just under that. there worth a look if anyones after good deal

Oh for Europeans that is great, and if any are reading this thread your information I am sure will come in handy. For buyers outside the country though, shipping (and currency exchange rates) can often mean its not the same great deal for us though!

But thank you so much for replying, and its good to see everyone and everywhere is represented here! Somewhere for all vapers to go.. very cool!

True. When I do occasionally shop at a B&M store I check something out, then go home and price compare and validate any info that I have received on ECF. Sometimes the store was right, sometimes they were wrong.

Yeah, its cool to come here and get advice. This is probably one of the first situations in my life where I have needed so much help to know what is the best..

this is kind of like the consumer reports for vapers.. which is awesome!

I was the E-commerce manager for a liquidation company for a long time, and we would buy out businesses that were closing their doors or moving and resale the product. I got so good at price comparison from that, because we had to research the item, find out what others were selling the same product for, and pick our price right in the middle between the high and the low.

So now, knowing how to get the best deal, is second nature. lol.. but yeah.. compare compare compare.. find the middle as they are usually the best company - too high usually use dishonest business practices and too low usually means the product itself is lower quality.

I learned that through much experience.

I've found that for most of the big online stores the prices on most products converge around a set price +\- around 10%. I've purchased from MyVaporStore, vaporDNA, mount baker vapor, and ecig avenue. All have delivered Saran wrapped mods from the manufacturer with the code you can validate on the manufacturers site.

A site you might use is Vaping Cheap - Vape Mod Deals, Box Mod Reviews & Ecig Coupons -

They don't sell anything, just collect the best deals they find online and provide coupon codes. Just validate the site is legit and you might get a deal. But true, like you said, anything drastically below the common selling price should raise red flags.

That is cool.. thanks for the site.

Mount Baker actually gave me a code to use for when I purchase again. I decided to see what they said after buying some juice from them about what I was wanting to do, and the recommendations given me here about what might be a good upgrade for me. (Everyone will be happy to know that my customer service representative concurred with the users of this site!) And at the end of the conversation he gave me a coupon code to use.

But in the future, I will definitely look into that site. Sounds great!

There are many good online shops that are racing for your buisness, many are right here in the states I have a pack of buisness cards with over 40 different vendors that I buy from, my first places to look are 101 vapes, Wake and Vape,Vaporbeast,Vapor Dna,EcigAvenue,Ecigcity,Vape Royalty, Sweet Vapes, used all of them with no problems yet. most have coupon codes or run great deals. The more new stuff comes out the cheaper all the other stuff gets to make way for the new. Like dbrand said though if I see it in one of the b&ms I shop for a little more I would buy it just to help them out and to have it right away. I never shop on Ebay for anything vape related, especially batteries. For good Battery prices the best I have found is IMR batteries. for wire it is Lightning Vapes or Tempco.

Thank you very much! All very useful information... I will definitely keep all you said in mind! (I'll probably have to make a list actually but I will keep all you said in mind, especially about batteries too!)

Thanks for your reply!
