Hi.

I am new to vaporing and have just made the decision in what battery to get (thanks for the help).
Now I have trouble getting my first atomizer....

From my past experience, I know that I will try rba in the future (I have already built an electronic guitar and have craved a pipe....).

Although I will try rba, I need something to start vaporing now.
Will either Aspire nautilus/Atlantis (mini or regular) and Kanger Aerotank/Subtank (mini or regular) fit my need (can be used right out of the box and be rebuilt in the future)?
Or, is there any other atomizer I can choose?

Since cost is something that I concern, will using RBA cost less than using normal atomizer in a long run?

Thanks.

Right now only the subtank and delta II offer coils and a rebuildable module if you don't want to buy coils or want to build to specific ohms. Depending on the size of your mod, be aware the subtank is larger so you might want to consider the mini.

And yes, you'll save money rebuilding, as a roll of kanthal and a bag of cotton can last a long, long time. In the case of the subtank, even the coils are easily rebuilt.

It is possible to rebuild a coil on a nautilus, but it's a pain. Building a coil for an atomizer designed for rebuilding is easier than you think. It's way cheaper to build your own. So cheap in fact, that I rebuilt mine 3 times in one weekend. By the third try I had it perfected to my taste. Those 3 builds cost about 20 cents.

Howdy,

I can agree with the suggestion of the delta or aspire sub tank for versatility and ability to rebuild.
As for RBA's as I can't stress this enough please source out someone in your local area to hook up with on this. The two things you mentioned are impressive to build however the real truth on ecigs is they can vent which is a bad day. The cost savings however of an RBA is substantial over buying replacement heads all the time.

Thanks for the replies.

I have seen some video on youtube showing people rebuilding the Nautilus coil (BVC) and the Protank coil (BVC instead of BDC).
I am not sure if the rebuilding the coil is as easy as I have seen or the people showed...
Or is rebuilding Nautilus and Portank coil like what Dizzo said, "a pain"?

First: go on youtube and look at various rebuilds and you'll go "Oh, I can do that" or "Oh hell no."

Some of the terminology is getting mixed up, but the kanger subtank and delta II both have a module that is meant to be rebuilt. The subtank cotton coils are also easily rebuilt compared to others (I can't say regarding the delta II, worth checking) and the regular or mini is probably what you want. It's possible to rebuild the Aspire BVC coils, but due to their design it's much more fiddly -- there are a few threads on here where it goes great for some and others struggle. The Aspire BDC coils and dual-coil aerotank coils are about the same -- it's possible and people do it, but not much fun. The single-coil protank I/II coils are easy.

Just want to make sure, are both Delta II and Subtank "ready to use"?
If I am not able to rebuild them yet, can I find replacement part for them?

Yes, they both have replaceable coils. I think you'll be happiest with a subtank or subtank mini right now, but the Delta II is definitely on my radar, and will be moreso if someone can make it not have a whistle when you vape.

Thanks again!!

I noticed that the Subtank Mini has a sub ohm occ which require at least 15W power.
Will my battery choice, the MPV 20W, be enough for it?
Or I will need something larger, may be a Vamo V7 (30W)?

The Delta II seems very nice, sadly it needs to be pre-order....

I could be imagining things, but I could have sworn I tried one at 11w... I was probably imagining things.

Either way, the MVP20 will be enough, but the minimum ohm for the MVP 20w is 1ohm, so you'd have to use the 1.2 coil or build one. Also, the range for the subtank is up to 25-35, with most being happiest around 25. It really depends on how you like to vape and your expectations are, but I'd say you're pushing it and may be happiest with either the MVP 30w when it's released, or something else in the 30w-50w range. Many are finding they are preferring the 1.2ohm coils along with a higher wattage, too.

Thanks again.

I like the Subtank very much, but I really can't find a mod that can fit in my budget (I don't like istick since some review showed that it was not accurate in its output)...
Since the sub ohm atomizer requires a at least 30W mod, I am afraid I have to pass it for now....

Other than Delta II and the Subtank, is there any rebuildable but still ready to use right out of the box atomizer?

1. You're 100% right about the istick 20w treating voltage settings as loose suggestions, but the istick 30w and 50w appear to be much more accurate. I'd consider the mini on one of those in a heartbeat.

2. Eleaf just put out a new MELO, and while it doesn't have an RTA component the coils look to be standard cotton. It's very new so not a lot of reviews around.

If I were in your shoes I'd look hard at an istick 30w and subtank mini. Both are solid values and while the istick doesn't have the best build quality in the world it doesn't fall apart when you look at it.
