Thanks to a video by GimmeGreen I finally found out why I melted 4 batteries and 8 springs using the Vivi Nova on my current mod. It happened to him as well, using a Silver Bullet, melting batteries and collapsing bottom springs. I can't remember if the Shockwave has a bottom spring or not. I ordered the 2 Cent for safety thing to protect it from happening to me again. The bottom post seems to be too long on the Vivi Nova, pushing the top connection in too deep. I don't want to ruin my Shockwave and I certainly don't want to have a melted battery. My questions are: can I use the 2 cent for safety on the Shockwave and what can I do to protect the SH from getting ruined by the Vivi Nova (beside the obvious, not using it as a tank). When it works it is great; clean taste, great vapor but it scares me to think that I could ruin the mod (and melt a 5000 mah battery seems pretty scary). Lastly, does the Shockwave has any safery features for such an event (like I said, can't remember if it uses a spring that would just collapse)? Thanks and sorry about my novice questions but I almost blew up my Stealth, I don't want to think what would happen with a 5000 mah battery instead of a 700 mah one should something go wrong (hope the 2 cent for safety will fit). Thanks again.

Personally, I don't trust a "hotspring". Not sure who started the trend and promoted it is as a safety feature, but relying on a "hot spring" to reliably and consistently collapse in the event of a short is providing a false sense of security.

I would imagine the 2 Cent fuse may work with the IMR 26650 battery, but it won't work with the Trustfire 26650 5000mAh battery as that battery is too long and won't allow it to fit, however the trustfire does have a protection circuit on it and they even make a buzzing noise when activated.
