I'd like to know how you know that your build is 0.1 ohms.
An accurate macro-ohm meter costs about $3,500 (a cheapo about $600) so I doubt very much that you have one.
You simply cant even come close to reading 0.1ohm accurately with a $25 atomizer ohm reader or a normal VOM.

well on the sigelei is says 0.1 ohms so ...

The beauty of a high vv/vw mod is that you don't have to build low sub-ohm coils to get a great vape. In fact, building low sub-ohm works against you. Higher ohm coils use more wire which means more surface area to vaporize juice. That increases vapor production.

With a mechanical mod you increase the warmth of your coil by building lower ohm coils. However, the electronics in a regulated mod boosts the power coming from the battery so the ohms of the coil no longer control the warmth.

Here's a good thread on the subject: My thoughts about sub-ohm and latest VV/VW devices...

I have Sig 150....it's not very accurate/precise, reads only to the tenth, it rounds to floor/ceiling when reading resistance. So I suspect its probably under .15.

My cheapo ohm reader will read .24 and Sig will say .2.

You're right, to a point. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but there are big fancy builds with lots and lots of wire in them that meter low but are huge coils. Fantastic flavor that you can't replicate by building a higher ohm coil. I've been trying. A zipper, any of the claptons, tiger wire, et al are all examples of high mass, low resistance builds that are astounding flavor (and correspondingly, vapor) producing machines. Is it necessary? Not even a little bit. Can that be your preference? Yeah.

If you like a huge airy draw and you still want a high degree of flavor, you have to do a large, fancy, low-res build. The only time that option is incorrect is when safety is compromised.

Having said all that, I like a .8 26 gauge build in my Subtank mini RBA section as much as I like a big honkin' dual clapton at .2 in my freakshow. Vaper's preferences are very personal and it's a long journey of trial and error to get where you even find your preferences let alone to be able to replicate them.

On-topic: That behavior is normal. Regulated boxes are voltage converters with an expensive ohm's law calculator in them. (Gross over-simplification, I know.)
