question about ss

so from what I have seen ss coils have been around for a while, longer than ti.So why is everyone wanting mods that are ss capable?what are the advantages to ss and why does it seem to be all the rage right now?

First it was Ni, then Titanium then SS.

SS is becoming popular because of the similarities to Kanthal... it has a similar (slightly lower) resistance, combined with cleaner taste and on top it's easier to build with.

I stiched to SS because it can be used in both TC and power mode. Also it seems like a healthier alternative to Ni and Ti.

Go to Temp Control forum. There are a thousand posts on SS. Also, the wire forum as well as coil build forums. 100s of posts about SS.

Ti came after concerns with Ni, SS became popular after everyone found out that the popular wire G-Plat was nothing more than SS wire, UWell also was using SS wire on their popular line of pre-built coils. Also doesn't hurt that it can also be used in TC setups.
