I've heard of steeping and didn't really know the details. Do you really just open the bottle and leave it for awhile? I'm no germaphobe but I have cats around the house. And there's always dust to think about. I've noticed the juices I have will change flavors, usually for the better but not always, as I have them longer. I haven't left the caps off of any of them. I thought that might be steeping.

Popping the caps off for a week & shaking daily helps speed the steeping process.
I have a dedicated medicine cabinet in the kitchen, the highest shelf is my steeping shelf. 2 dogs & a cat & haven't had any problems doing it that way yet.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I have a couple of flavors I've been "waiting on" that could use a boost.

I take only the caps off for about a day, then put them back on and put to one side. Taking the caps off helps evaporate the perfumey taste from MBV flavorings (IMHO - yours may be different)
Then I put them in my vape chest and wait a few days / weeks depending on what juice it is and how much I want to vape it.

I don't think you need to have the caps off to steep - in fact I know this is true. I have two different juices exactly the same but one is 2 weeks younger - they are different colors and I haven't removed the cap on either since the first day I got them.

Thanks for the info. I'm on day 9 of steeping but with the drip tips on. Should I give them an extra few days?

At the very least you should open them once each day, squeeze the air out of them and suck fresh air in. The 3 enemies of juice are heat, air and light but they can be used to our advantage when steeping. You can generally expect the juices to slightly darken.

+1 24 hours to evaporate any alcohol then cap and shake once or twice daily.

Well now that clears that up for me, and to think i was going to start a thread about why my juices are getting a little darker... Great info... Thanks..:thumb:
