Hello--

I'm new to the forum, and decided to sign up after reading about counterfeit Liqua-brand e-liquid.

I recently purchased a 10ml bottle of the strawberry from a local gas station that carries a few different brands. The printing on the box looks legitimate, except the barcode is printed directly on the box (though it is quality printing, unlike the bootleg ones I've seen), and the expiration date is July 2016. The bottle does have the triangular, "raised" sticker for the visually impaired, and the correct all-white cap. The liquid itself has a pinkish-brown tint to it, and a light smell of strawberry. Is it possible that they've changed their packaging slightly, or do I have a bootleg on my hands? I can include a picture if necessary. Thanks!

This isnt really related to your post but you have to be very weary. Everything on FastTech dot com is counterfeit. Its funny because I read a lot of the reviews and everyone says the product they received is legitimate. I used to own many different websites selling counterfeit goods from China and around the world so I have experience in this area. Soon I will be writing up a post proving the nonbelivers out there that fasttech's product are not authentic. That being said, it is ok to buy some counterfeit items but things like batteries, chargers and ecigs I would stay away from.

Well Musicka, I have no idea on how authentic fasttech stuff is. But I think a lot of the community would be interested if you have anything new to contribute to the discussion.

I just keep wondering, is it really profitable to counterfeit the "affordable" tier of ecigs? I can see selling clones of expensive mods, but aren't ego twists and evods pretty cheap as it is? And after someone makes a (hopefully non-poisonous) strawberry juice and all that pretty counterfeit Liqua packaging, is selling it to fasttech for less than 20 cents/ml going to get you anywhere?

You would be very surprised. One of my websites sold Air Jordan shoes, they came in the exact same box. The box had graphics on it, as well as all the inserts. They costed $15 bucks a pair and were identical to the authentic Jordans that retailed for $200-250+. You would be very surprised.

Fasttech sells xbox360 controllers in the same original packaging. Do you think those are authentic lol?

So have you used it? How does it taste...I LOOOOOOOVE strawberries and when I get tired of the old "tobaccy" flavored stuff I really wanna go all "frufru" and that is probably the first flavor I want to roll with!

Any recommendations to a good reputable brand?

I have used it (in a brand-new blank), and it does have a very light strawberry taste, but there's something else I can't quite put my finger on. It has a slightly "cooked" taste (if that makes any sense), like they were trying to make it taste like a strawberry-flavored tobacco, instead of only strawberries.

I've also tried it in a blank that was previously used for a blue raspberry juice, and the combination works really well.

Not to displace your assumption, but to claim Everything is counterfeitis a bit presumptuous. and Comparing Air Jordans to a ce4 is comical.

Dr. Evil:

Have you noticed a tobacco-like undertone to the flavor, or does the juice taste like straight strawberry? The bottle I have has a bit of a secondary flavor to it that I can't quite figure out.

mine tastes like strawberry hey, no other tastes that i can pick up, i vape the 18mg nic and i tried the 0mg as well, the zero isn't as strong but i think that's because of the lack of nic in it

Sent from my HTC One X using my finger

Hmm, the more I use it, the more I think the taste is off. The liquid is definitely not yellow; it's more of a reddish-brown, and the odd taste is present in the smell of the juice, as well. Eh, it was only $6 bucks, so I'll just chalk it up as a lesson learned. I just thought it would be a low chance for a forgery, considering one of Ritchy's offices is somewhere in the Kansas City Metro area (at least I think it is; one of their phone numbers has a Kansas City area code).

Should I call them and make an inquiry as to whether they distribute to that gas station?

So I went to a more reputable vape supply store (where they allowed me to try the Liqua flavors before I bought them), and their strawberry tasted 10x better than the one I bought at the gas station. I ended up buying a bottle of the menthol, and verified that EVERYTHING about the packaging matched up with the Ritchy website (e.g. the barcode on the box is a sticker and not printed directly on, the expiration date is within two years, the bottle itself is wrapped in perforated cellophane, and the nicotine strength sticker on the bottle is actually a sticker and not printed directly on the label). Also, the color of the liquid is MUCH lighter in the authentic bottle.

I know the website has a distributor partnership with Ritchy, and it appears that Ritchy has an office or something here in Kansas City, so what would be the best way to inform them of the counterfeit product being sold in Kansas City? The store selling it is a Shell gas station at 8401 North Oak Trafficway in Kansas City, MO. I'd just hate to see someone else get duped into buying such a sub-par knockoff.

What you have just described matches my Liqua strawberry from FastTech.

I really like Merango by Johnson Creek. It's a nice natural strawberry flavor.
Personally, their flavors are strong (just my own taste!), and I mix it with a sweet tobacco flavor.
Usually, I'll put half Merango and half Tribeca (Halo), or Merango and a RY4.
Also, for me, Johnson Creek needs to sit a while; my Merango did mellow some after a while, but still needs to be
mixed for my own taste preference.
Beware of the caps on their bottles. I can't seem to get the dropper bottle
caps to fit properly.
I'm glad you mentioned this, I need more Merango!

And you sound like a real classy person. I hope you got in trouble for ripping people off...:censored:
