Ive never used temp control yet and my new mod I got a few days ago has it. I'm using a Kanger toptank nano and know that you are supposed to only use the ni200 coils in temp control. However I read somewhere of ppl using the reg .5 and .5 claptons in TC mode. Did I misread something or is this correct? I had thought only ni200 could be used in TC. Can anyone point me towards a good tutorial on temp control? I'm using an istick 40w. Doesn't necessarily have to be for that device. I know what temp control does but not sure on the specifics. Being as I only have a 1 ssocc .5 Clapton that is only a day old and 1 .15 ni200 ssocc coils I don't wanna do anything to ruin them before I get my new coils in the mail.

Tutorial: Guide to Temperature Control Vaping – MistHub
Stainless Steel is the only metal that can be used with both VW and TC
only the .15 ssocc coil is nickel, the others are kanthal which cannot be used with TC

Well maybe they're nickel claptons.

More likely stainless steel claptons.

The Kanger clapton coils, (grey washers, I think), are kanthal, so use them in power mode only. The SSOCC coils with the pink washers have stainless coils, so both they and the blue washer Ni coils can be used in TC mode.

So in your case, use the clapton in power mode, (wattage), only, and the nickel one in TC mode only.
