I'm struggling with the temp control/nickel build on my Hana DNA40 and Plume Veil v1.5. I can't really seem to get a dense, warm and flavorful vape. I'm using 30g Ni200 with 15 wraps, dual coil and it's giving me a .16 ohm resistance. Wicked with Japanese cotton. I get decent vapor production but it's not nearly as flavorful or dense as my Kanthal builds on that same atty or others and it's a very cool vapor. I've tried setting the temperature everywhere from 410 degrees to 470 degrees and the wattage from 25w to 40w. The vapor will warm somewhat when I use a high wattage setting but it never reaches what if call a warm vape; and flavor is still pretty muted.
So, I've read people's posts that seem to indicate that they're trying to find a setting that doesn't engage the temp control; and that's confusing me. Isn't it "all about the temp control" with the dna 40? I mean, I would think that you'd set the temp you want and ramp the wattage all the way up to 40w and let the temp control part of the chip do all the work. Am I wrong? Can someone with more knowledge explain how to properly use the temp control? Maybe that'll help me in my search for a flavorful vape with a mickle build
