RDA Question about the Alliance V2

So I'm borrowing my friends Alliance V2 and liking it so far. But I just realized in everybody's review video their rda has the slotted looking part.

Does that part make a differnece or what does it do

I'm currently using this set up.

Will it make a differnece if I was to add that slotted part?

That`s just a heat sink / insulator, I don`t use mine at all.

All it does is just keep heat from the rda away from the mod, wont affect the performance of the vape any. I have never used the heat sink, I just use the RDA exactly like you do.

Ah Ok. I added it on there and it seems to help keep it slightly cooler lol. I love the options this thing has though.

Can you guys think of any other RDA similar to this? I may have to eventually return this to my buddy lol.

You nailed it! The smaller air flow is more geared towards flavor(My go to airflow as its slightly tighter), the bigger Airflow is more for clouds and big, hot builds. Then there is the Mutation Airflow that has the ability to be adjusted with the included Air Flow Controller that screws to the top cap.

The smaller one for me performs the best, as I tend to run 2x26 5 Wrap fused claptons, and that airflow is just right for delivering a warm, dense, flavorful vape. I also run with a Dotmod Drip tip instead of the Wide bore.
