Hello, still newly converted here and I wanted to ask about the durability/ longevity of the eGo style kits in general. I recieved a vaporfi Pro kit at the beginning of the week and I love it. Wanting to ask any of you that have used these for a period of time if they break down after a short while or typically hold up. I am aware of changing the coils periodically, but wondered if the tanks get old, battery life shortens etc. Just wondering how long I could enjoy this before replacement. If the life span isn't very long, it will be an upgrade for sure. Thanks.

Hello :) First off: congrats on switching over. eGos can last a while and some of them can break quite quickly. The plus side is that they're cheap, which makes replacing them less painful. Battery life dwindles after a while. That kit looks kind of costly for what you get, but is simple stuff to start out with. You may want to shop on the suppliers part of this forum. You'll find better deals and good quality stuff.

VaporFi overcharge their customers (sometimes double or triple) on the strength of their "added value". They have told the public on many occasions that people looking for the cheapest deal shouldn't shop there. I would expect that as they charge $119.99 for a $50 e-cig kit, you can expect to return items any time you like at any point into the future and have a no quibble guarantee.

Luckily for you, you bought one of the cheap kits and only paid $49 for a $29 kit.

It should last.... if it doesn't, they should replace it. :)

As I am 3,500 miles away... it's reasonably safe to say what everybody thinks and nobody has the confidence to say. Please be aware of the prices at VaporFi.

Thanks for the info dj, still have much to learn. I'd read a review site that voted them best starter kit and based my purchase on that. Their product being the one that thoroughly converted me from cigarettes, I was ready to devote my allegiance to them. Swept up in the excitement of conversion. Although I am enjoying my device, I will definitely heed your advice in the future. I appreciate it, take care.

Yeah they are crooked they pay that company to say that. Very overpriced dont buy from again too many other reputable vendors. Theres a section on ecf about vendors look through it and make your own informed decisions from there. Welcome to ECF.

Starter kits two eGo 1100mah batteries with a pair of CE5 1.8ml BVC type clearomizers for $18 a pop! Express battery with usb charging cord and clearomizer $8 in bubble pack. For $20 or more you can start looking at Variable Voltage as well as Variable Wattage batteries and devices as you go along. That will come in time however.

Here Iwent for several VW instead of VV eGo-C Twists and Vision Spinners for the eGo-V V3 and later V4 Mega batteries which can be used while the battery is charging as a usb pass through device. A number of the new box mods are now coming out with this feature as well. To compete with all those the eGo manufacturer usually Smoktech sold under other names(just about any brand name) has put more into the batteries lately now seeing 2200mah eGo II batteries available some being VV. The eGo-V V4 is still 1300mah however but is the VW as well as pass through type.

The tank that goes on can also make a large difference. I haven't been too impressed with the new Bottom Vertical Coil clearomizers while they no longer suffer the dry burn spots seen with the older CE1-4 Top coiled long wicked types. Small tanks like the SMOK Tumbler and Aspire Nautilus Mini good for the VW type batteries and mods are found to be far more flavorful as well as better at vapor output for small tanks. The Tumblers can be had for about $8-$10 best being $7.99 at one vendor while the Nautilus Mini tanks run on average from $22-$27 approximate. I still use a number of Tumblers on the eGo batteries with great results running about 7w.

I looks very much like a typical Evod kit...but yeah quite pricey.

My genuine Kanger evods lasted over a year. Of course some liquids will break down the tanks more quickly. For ego style batteries, I have had batteries last just a month or two, and some have last over a year. I have no idea of the quality of Vaporfi, and much will depend on how much you vape. Backups are always advised...and then backups for the backups.

When I first started this adventure, I went through a lot of Ego stick batteries. Ego-C, Ego-Twist's. Had lots of issues with the batteries, and altogether just a poor vape experience. I threw 4 of these batteries and 15 ego tanks in the trashcan. I'd skip the ego's all together if I was to do it again.

When I sent my friends and family E-Cig kit's, these had an eleaf + Aspire Nautilus Min'si (authentic w/BVC coils). $65 for the setup. You really can't go wrong with this buy as a starter kit. I sent out 5 of these kits as gifts with some liquids. And everyone I sent them to still uses them every day!

I really like the ego style. Going on 4 months for my first set of batteries. Of course have a back up set also. Tanks on the other hand I've been through many. I went with the kanger evods. I really like the tank just have to be carful on the juices as some will break them.
Grats on making the change and good luck on finding the right juices! That's been the tough part for me

I didn't have the luxury of eGo batteries or anything VV/VW to look at for months starting off with 808 cig look alikes. Then when trying one of those freebie trial kit offers that proved to be even worse where you pay higher prices for even less quality and not anything worth the bother and they heard from me why I was dumping them fast! The worst cheapest pre-filled crap on the market just about!

The first two eGo batteries that followed the Vamo V2 someone pointed me at still using lousey top coiled stuff! was a regular starter kit with a pair of 650 eGo-C Twists and later a single Vision Spinner being the longer lasting 1300mah battery but still not working out! That was still during the first half of 2013 despite having broken the tobacco habit. The upgrades to come six months later however is what broke the camel's back as far as ever worrying about reverting back to tobacco with the sifting to find what tanks were worth bothering with as well as getting into the Innokin iTaste MVP2.0 followed by the iTaste VV V3.0 batteries ob Black Friday deals as well as later trying out a pair of those 1300mah eGo-V VW batteries at the same time as the SMOK Groove II mod.l

Would you believe the first two eGo-C Twist 650mah batteries still work and are sitting in the second mod stand I had made up since in the last year! I've had an eGo mini 350mah and two other eGo batteries go one prematurely while others were passed along to get others started. When someone in another thread mentioned eGo type batteries were dead issue I had to come back with the fact that the manufacturer is now making improvements on them since they are still the hottest selling batteries going. Not too many haven't had at least one in their collection.

The best price for the eGo-V V4s had been at a Canadian vendor for $22.49 until they decided to not restock apparently. They were carrying them under the Green Vaper brand but still the exact same as the SLB being sold for $35-$40 at most places. Sweet-Vapes has them in the plain box for $29.99 while Fasttech carries them for $24 in the box or just the battery for $19 if you don't mind the wait for the low price as far as grabbing any spares.

It was one of the three silver V3s not V4s I got from SV that went doa too fast on me while the other was one of four that lasted from January until almost October being used regularly. So far the other three V3s are still going strong. The V4s were spotted at the Canadian vendor in late May and then when looking for some more spares spotted at FT in September. You will notice when turning the watts up there's a noticable difference over what you see with any Twist or Spinner batteries! Plus they have the two separate voltage and wattage modes. When finding it too low in wattage and going back to the voltage and raising it up from 3.6v to 3.8v and then going back to wattage that change still set for 7w is felt.

The Nautilus Mini tank won't have any problem running from 6w upto the 15w max on them while I generally toss the Smoktech Tumblers with 2ohm coils for the best match up. The Minis are in use on the Eleaf 20w iSticks and will work well on the new MVP 20W model. The coils will last longer for the higher price when on the eGo VW type batteries however!:)

Good for you. Count yourself lucky you didn't wade in to the tune of $500+. It's probably a good e-cig and that's all that really matters.

Some e-cigarette companies pay fake review sites to promote their product, or they entice existing review sites to be generous in their comments in return for sales commission (affiliate sales).

I fell for these tactics in the UK in 2012 and it took me over $800 of equipment to find something good enough to quit smoking.
I smoked 15 a day.

The top cig-a-like review site (a 'paid for' site) in the UK still has 5 stars out of 5 stars for the worst and most expensive product on the UK market. The first page of reviews say how wonderful the product is, how people went from smoking 2 packs a day to none in 48 hours and how the batteries last ages and the refills taste just like a cigarette... it just goes on and on.

What most people will never see is the hundreds of reviews that say the product is a scam.

VaporFi are not a scam, but they do sell ordinary hardware at extraordinary prices. According to their literature, they have all the products made for them.
Made for them by whom? Most of it is instantly recognizable, so either VaporFi are asking Kanger and Innokin etc. to make products or actually VaporFi are cloning products deliberately.

It's a case of greed and modern business practice. I suspect the re-launch of their brand from Vaporzone to VaporFi energized them into a new level of scurrilous sales tactics. Up until they got humiliated on Youtube, they had a product listed as $279.99 on their web site. You and me could order that, today, for $40. FORTY dollars.
