My eGo should be hee tomorow. I have a question.... I keep reading about getting spare atomizers, so I'm wondering.. how long do they last? Assuming I don't mess one up, is there a typical life span to these things? Should I be ordering spares now?
I know there is some sort od filler in the carts that I will need to replace also. So much info out there and it's difficult to sort through.

Thanks to all who have answered my questons. My 808's are nice and I'm looking forward to having them as my backup. The entire family has converted now so I have the 2 eGo's and a Riva on the way!! juice should be here tomorrow as well. :p

Yes, I would order 3 or 4 spares from Cignot. Check for any coupon codes that may be avail. Try ECF or ECF10, or ECF20. Not totally sure about that.

I would also order some Cartomizers. They work awesome and hold 30-50 drops of liquid, vs the carts that only hold about 12 drops. I have heard that the ego mega carts work very well as well, but they require a different atomizer if you insist on using carts.

Dripping is the best way to taste different flavors in the same sitting.

Having spare attys is good for many reasons. Certain juices like cinnamon or licorice should have a dedicated atty.

I love my ego. Oh, attys should last 2-4 weeks if using only one, but alternating can make them last a lot longer. attys are not created equal. some of the same brand could last 4-6 months, others a few days.

I order my cartomizers from awesome vapor (ce2 rev 4 cartomizers) for the 510

Atomizers could last anywhere from a day to several months....so it's good to have backups. The kits you get will come with two each probably. But it wouldn't hurt to have 2-3 more on hand the next order you make. They usually last me at least a couple of months....but I'm NEVER without a backup. Better safe than sorry.

If you ask a few different people this question, you'll get a few different answers. Atomizers can last anywhere from a couple of days to a few months. I still have 5 of the 6 original attys that I bought with my Rivas two months ago. I just got 10 more the other day because it never hurts to have plenty of back-ups.

You can use either polyfil or Fluval to replace the filler in your carts. You can find polyfil at Wal-Mart or any craft store. It's really cheap and a bag will last a long, long, long time. Fluval Water Polishing Cloth can be found at pet stores.

I've had some attys not ever really work right, I've got one I'm using right now going on 7 months (and its a LR atty at that). So its entirely random, no matter how You care for them. It's always good to have backups, at least 2 or 3, enough to keep you going should you need to order more. You don't want to get caught with nothing working, for me thats when I end up smoking a nasty cigarette. (its happened a couple times, due to money issues and faulty equipment.)

You all are GREAT THANKS!!!!
I guess I better get on it and get me some spares. I don't plan on dripping, but then you never know. I'm an RN and need simple stuff. I'm planning on being as discrete as possible. Anything is more discrete than the stinky analog world. I did order some extra carts as well as carto's, so hopefully I can get through for a bit.
One more question I just thought of.... I ordered a couple 900 batteries, is this going to be a problem with charging or the atty's that come with the standard kit??

I'm impressed. I've averaged 1-2 months on regular atties, but the LRs brought that down in a hurry. My average for them is about 3 weeks and I just had one go cold last week after 3 days :(
