That's the one. The ego battery will work with any 510 device. It is considered a good battery. There is also the ego-t battery which you can click 5 times to turn it off and it won't fire in your pocket. They come in different mah the larger the number the bigger it is and the longer it lasts between charges. You can get the kits with either 510 atomizers and carts or with ego-t atomizers and tanks, there are type a and b of those. There are many options with the ego. You can also use cartomizers.

The ego is the one with the long lasting battery- like 8 hours.

Manual battery means you push a button to vape (take a drag). It sounds weird but you definitely get used to it very quickly. My kit came with a button protector which I proceeded to lose but I throw it in my purse and I've never had any issues with it turning on accidently.

Yeah on manual battery you press the button when you take a draw. With the regular ego battery it is always "on" and activates when you press the button. With the ego-t battery, you can click the button 5 times and it will turn off and now if the button gets pressed in your pocket it will not activate, not until you click the button 5 times within 2 seconds again to turn it back on.

I recommend that with your ego kit whichever one you choose, you also add to your order Boge 510 Cartomizers 2.5 Ohm (Black) - 5 Pack $7.99. They make a great back-up that screw right on to your ego batteries.

Manual battery means you have to push the button to take a draw. Most of the newer ones will cut off if you push the button 5 times so they don't go off in your pocket. The standard 510 is much smaller, almost like a tobacco cigarette. The ego bateries in your link are 650 mah while the standard are 180. Think of a mah as a gallon of gas. 650 vs 180. Gonna go a lot farther. You may want to consider a Riva 510, also on that same site. Click on the 20% coupon at the top left and they run around $30. The Riva batteries are 750 mah and 3.7 volts. I have two of those kits and later bought the Ego-T tank attomizers and tanks. Most of the cartomizers and stuff are interchangable as long as it's 510.

I've not used it, either, not once. I suppose when grandkids visit it would be a good idea to use it as a safety measure, but that would still presuppose that I actually ever put my eGo down for a second...

I know! Fast typers. I just realized I've never used the shut off feature on my battery!
