Question about the new Springs?

What is the low limit of them? Without droop.

I think I just killed one. I was running a .25 Ohm dual coil in the RM4. It did not drop, but got pretty warm and is a bit shorter. I changed it out anyway, since it is a good deal shorter.

Interesting, previously I've only seen reports of sagging below .2 ohm. How long is your hit.

Somewhere between 5 and 8 seconds, all depends on what I am doing. I know I was only getting 2 hits off of each squonk before the burn kicked in with cotton wicks.

I have always been wary of going much below about 0.4Ω on mine, because that's when the old ones used to start sagging or slow collapse. I daresay you could go lower than that, but i have a feeling it would require a well-cleaned and noaloxed mod to do so, which is not what i typically do.

I also don't go below 0.2Ω on anything because you're starting to push the envelope on even Sony VTC5s and i like to leave a little margin of safety. Good move changing out the spring.

Now old is that build? What I'm getting at is are you sure it's staying stable at 0.25 ohms?

It was about 10 minutes old, and still meters at .25 Ohm
