Question about the Precise

I received the Precise about a week ago, and I have been quite impressed with it. In addition, I have the Super T 1 and S6. And I was wondering in relation to the Precise why is it that there are no vent holes on this model? I know the 10440 batts are protected, but if they fail the gasses won't vent.

David can you tell me the reason why this model has no vent holes. I have never had a battery fail on me and I don't expect that the protected ones should fail unless they were misused. I am just curious why you decided not to put them on this model.

In any case the Precise is amazing and it feels really solid in your hand with or without the vent holes.

It was just mainly a styling choice on this particular model. As you mentioned too, the Precise also uses a non stacked, small cell, protected battery. Do you have the brass caps or the all stainless version?

Oh I see. Well good choice. I think the styling on this model is excellent. I have a stainless steel Precise. Does that make a difference?

Wouldn't it vent through the gap between the button and the button housing? I know it's a very precise fit, but I would imagine that's the path of least resistance. Maybe too tight and would still allow pressure to build rapidly
