Question about TopVapor E-Liquid

I have only been vaping for about a month and a half, so I may be doing something wrong.

Mostly I'm wondering about the PG/VG ratios in some of the E-Liquids. I bought my first liquid from another vendor, and I liked it, it was all 50/50. But I wanted to try MadVapes since it was half the cost and had a nice variety of flavors. I ordered Minthol, Menthol Tobacco and Ultramint (I had tried a mentholated tobacco, peppermint and chocolate from the other vendor).

I tried the Minthol and Menthol Tobacco right away and it tasted great, but every hit felt like I was being stabbed in the throat with a hot needle. I waited a few days and tried it again, same. However, I had some chocolate from my previous liquid that I simply couldn't vape because it was too thick, and even though it tasted great, felt like I was vaping a cotton ball. Just thick vapor and no hit. So I mixed the MadVapes liquid with the chocolate (5 parts either minthol/menthol tobacco, 1 part ultramint, 1 part chocolate). It was perfect. It didn't take much of the chocolate to take the bite out of it, and made the chocolate vapable (is that a word?).

My theory is that maybe it was too much PG content, too much throat hit. I was wondering what the PG/VG content was for what I ordered, and what the content ratios were for some of the other flavors. I'm looking at making another order soon and I'd rather not make two separate orders from two different places, and I'd really like to order from MadVapes. I really need to watch my cash flow and I like that the liquid is fairly inexpensive. I've heard mostly glowing reviews for MadVapes and so I'm willing to assume that problems I'm having are probably due to my newbishness, but I'm worried that maybe they all might have that sharp hit to them, but while the Minthol said that it's 50% PG, my other liquid was too and I didn't get that kind of a hit with it. But I'm willing to try it again ^_^, just wondering if anyone can give me a clue about what my problem might have been and maybe I can fix it.

A list of what I'm looking to maybe order:
Minthol (I definitely want more of that. Even if I have to order from both vendors, it's got a good flavor and is good for thinning out the thicker liquid and adding the cool menthol and mint flavor I prefer.)
Ultramint/Creme De Menthe/Irish Mintz/Wintergreen
Chocolate/Chocolate Mint
French Vanilla/Vanilla Cream
Coffee/Root Beer
Black Licorice

And of course please, if anyone has any suggestions on other flavors I may enjoy, please feel free. I don't typically like fruity anything so I'm hesitant to try those yet but I like anything sweet or that mixes well with sweet flavors. And mints or menthols as well, obviously. ^_^

Thanks very much, I still have about a month's supply left, but I'm hoping to order in the next couple weeks and try some new flavors. I would love to stock up on a good variety of flavors or mixes that I can enjoy.

I cant speak to the PG VG levels but I have vaped solely madvapes stuff and here are my suggestings in order

Waffle- best by a good margin
Cotton Candy- the more I use it the more I like it and I like it alot, its creaping up on waffle and might take over
Candy Cane - to me its the best mint flavored and I have tried almost all of them
Madgrapes- very close to waffle in the favorite category....not too fruity, alot of their fruit ones are but this isn't
Caramel - it has grown on me alot, was not that big of a Kick Azz caramel fan
Cheesecake - not great but consistent and mixes well with other flavors
Any of the coffee's - they all taste the same to me

I have tried I think 75% of their flavors. Luckily I found alot of these in the beginning so I buy 10-30ml bottles of them and a bunch of 5ml to try new stuff. I have not had much luck with the fruity and my taste buds are not compatible with orange or blueberry at all. Luckily my wife and I love the same stuff and have also been lucky that what we absolutly hate the other one can stomach so we havent had to throw anything out yet. All in all orange, blueberry and root beer (which I knew I would not like but the wife loves it) are the only 3 I could not stand the rest were ok. Fireball is nice too but its very strong, I took a break for a while and it also needed its own atomizer because I couldn't get the taste out.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm grabbing all 5ml stuff to try out this next order, gonna try to grab about 10 or so flavors to try alone or to mix and match. I have a habit (with EVERYTHING that I do) of finding something I like and never changing it. So I have about a month left of my current mix and it's starting to taste off. Not anything wrong with the liquid and tried fresh cartos, I think I'm just getting burnt out on it, so I'm looking for a good variety so I have something to switch to when my current flavor obsession gets old.

I still worry about getting too strong of a hit like before, but I've been vaping a lot more frequently lately (same as when I was smoking, I tend to enjoy the freedom of spring when the family goes camping most weekends and I'm completely alone), so I was planning on dropping my mg a bit anyway. I heard that lower mg might help lower the TH so maybe that will help too.

I've also wondered this! I've bought several flavors from madvapes. The Banana flavor in particular makes my throat feel as if its on fire. I don't describe this as 'throat hit." I have banana from 3 other vendors and this is the only one that irritates my throat. Must be something in the flavoring, madvapes banana is red in color and the others are clear/light pink.

Yeah, a harsh TH was just my theory on what it could be. I don't have reactions to PG so I am completely lost at why I had this reaction. But as I said, when I mixed in a little of a thicker 50/50 liquid, all was good.

Is the banana the only one you had that reaction from? 'Cause mine weren't darkly colored liquids. The Minthol was clear and the Menthol Tobacco was a light yellowish color.

Yeah it was just the banana, hehe I have maybe some 2 month old lemon blueberry cotton candy from madvapes that is literally black.
