So, I read.. and have heard of the stories of using unprotected batteries in mod's to achieve 6 volt. I have been using unprotected CR2's in grant now for 3 days. I LOVE IT..

But, after reading some recent stories about batteries blowing up, I switch back to 3.7 Volt, and, well.. it sucks! I hate 3.7 volt! LOL...

So, here is my question. My main issue is at work. I work in an office. If I have a problem similar to Imeo in my office, I will be in big trouble. So, I want to ask.. I have been 6Volt vaping with two cr2's.. and the moment I am done getting a good hit, I take the top off and the batteries out. Now, my question is.. if for some reason I have a battery start to discharge ( obviously there is no real way to predict this ) and I take the top off.. will the battery keeping discharging? I mean.. once it starts this, there is no turning back.. correct? Say I am vaping.. and I notice my grant gets hot before I finish my hit, so I unscrew the top and take batteries out.. will it keep discharging and explode? ( assuming it has reached a low voltage for some reason that I didn't detect before use )

I am just trying to find a "Safer" way to vape 6 volt. Someone mentioned batteries that had safe chemistry???? Where do I get those in the U.S.??

Any suggestions? I Miss my 6 volt!

Hi design.

The short circuit happens only when you push the button. So if you feel that GG is hot sudenly then leave it as it is and when it gets cold put out the batteries and cycle them properly

You could try these (LINK BELOW), I do not have a GGTS yet, but ordered these 3.0 volt batteries, so as of this writing "untested".

Combo Kit: 6 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh LiFePO4 Rechargeable Batteries with a Smart Charger

EXCERPT:
"It's a very good and important question. When we say "Protected" we mean a separate computer chip that is added and gives a cutoff (breaks the circuit in the battery from completing) if the voltage goes too low, the voltage goes too high, the current amperate goes too high, and the cell temperature rises too high. There is a difference between a "PTC" "Positive Temperature Coefficient" vent holes, and this electronic voltage/amperage circuit protection which is put on a computer chip. Many hear PTC as "Protection Circuit" which it is not."
