But, if you can't get past this first flood, simply remove the atomizer and blow out the excess juice into a paper towel or napkin and swab out the catch cup. Put the atomizer back on and vape. Then try again, this time using less pressure. Are you familiar with blind squonking yet? That might help.

Squonk or squonking: The act (or art- it's a learned process) of pushing on the plastic bottle in a Reo to send juice into the atomizer. This term is credited to Jack Murray!!

Blind Squonk: The act of sucking gently on the drip tip as you squonk the juice...as soon as you feel pressure in your mouth (some say, when you hear a slight gurgle) let off and that should be enough juice to vape. This term is credited to Infernia!!

I have a problem with this too. I guess the learning curve is too steep for me, but I am either flooding or dry hitting and can get one good vape in between that can compete with my carto and tank set up. What am I doing wrong? I get confused between dead battery and not enough juice too.

I went with a 2.5 ohm atomizer

am I sucking in too fast?

Since the topic involves the HH.357, I'm wondering if it really is that much better than everything else. I ordered a couple of the AMG hybrid attys from Vapage and they seem pretty good. Would the HH.357 be that much better and worth the price?
I'm still trying to get the squonk down right (blind squoking). Sometimes I get some tasty juice in my mouth.

I first started using the regular Cisco atties on my Reos. I never liked squonking to the point where juice would flow into the juice well & never had a need to. I would just give a light squonk ever 4-6 drags or so. And I don't even have to take a pull to bring up the juice when squonking.
This is always been my method works like a charm . I do think for some people the blind squonk is the way to go though .

Grab yourself a rm2 and end the misery they dont make a standard atomizer that compares . You will never get juice in your mouth and the vape is light years ahead of a standard atomizer . Its actually easier to run a good rba then it is to run a standard atomizer on a reo in my opinion

Since a lot of us have moved on from the HH357 here is a relevant thread about our findings. I can't help you make up your mind, I'm rather biased towards RBAs now...but I had two of them and loved them. But I had a hard time with the price. Adapting to a different way of vaping was relatively easy, but I really did use them incorrectly. The thread has a lot of folks dropping their experiences there and some tips. Might be worth a read. May help you go one way or the other. :)

I can't disagree with you there. :)

Would you suggest cartomizer over standard atomizer?

Same here. With all the rave about the 357s I really wanted to try one. I was really disappointed about the wait times when I was expecting to just order one & have it in a few days. The price did not bother me all that much but I do admit it seems high & I have doubts about them being worth it. I love RBAs so I doubt I will ever find out for myself. RBA are really versatile & you can just build for a different type of vape whenever you want for cheap.

The regular LR Ciscos did work very well for me after I learned how to keep a regular atty juice up. But I vape VG only & after about a week they would start loosing air draw. A bath in the ultrasonic cleaner would get them working like new again but I had to get extras to get a rotation going. Now I just keep one of those Ciscos in the truck in case of an emergency. But I haven't had the need to use one yet as I have yet to have a RBA fail on me.

Yeah I already had a RM2 and I love rebuildables but I've never tried atomizers and I wanted to test out regular atomizers for the first time. I'm not really a big fan so far. Terrible airflow (I'm used to the airhole for the RM2 and 1.6mm hole I drilled in my RSST tank), not that much vapor production, and blind squonking is a lot easier on an RM2 since it's pretty much anti-flood. I guess I'll use the HH.357 to test out new flavors.

Absofreakinlutly .......

As far as HH-357s though they are the best disposable atty and for the life they lasted me the price is comparable if not cheaper than any other when you extrapolate it out. The Cisco bridgless 510 is 95% as good though and does feed more like a standard atty and the cost is reasonable ..... especially if your new to attys or bottom feeding and might burn it up quick.

Like Rob said though almost any .... check that any RBA that will fit on the REO can produce a better vape than a HH-357 every day of the week. Even way back when on my very first atty build ever it came out far superior ..... on the first try. And once you get a few builds under you belt it can be done in minutes for like 25 cents .... Win Win

RBAs with the side air hole vape better ... squonk easier ... and draw more consistent because the air flow is the same every time .... no juice in the air path making it gurgle.

Thanks for the advice. Read just about that whole thread (it was longggg).

It seems simple ... get a Reomizer 2 for the price of 2 HH.357s and never have to throw it away. I got some XC-116 in the mail Monday (ready on that front). Now, making my mind up to pull the trigger is the issue. Can't decide if I need to go ahead and get a mini 2.1 or wait for a blem to show up on the site. Want to order both at the same time.
