I'm sure other will disagree

Not me. I think that the nail on the head.

Something that stands out w/ the hh.357 is the amount of juice it holds. I cleaned one this morning - and out of just habit, primed it with 6 drops. That's not enough. -- For any of my regular 510s and 306s, right around 6 drops is what they need for initial prime. The hh.357 requires closer to 10 or 12.

I can run a regular 510 a lot dryer without getting a burnt atty taste. The hh.357 needs to give a little bit of a gurgly feedback (gurgly isn't quite the right word - it doesn't gurgle like a flooded 510 but you can feel/hear a little juice when you draw on it) when it is in the sweet spot. It just holds more juice in the mesh and draws juice from the mesh to the coil better than a 510.

The hh.357 I cleaned this morning has been in daily use since 1/24. I've consumed right around 250 ml with it. I have never before had an atty make it past 150 ml, and most don't quite make it to 100... and occasionally I'll pop a coil or just plain have one die well within 50.

Eastmall low resistance. They used to be good attys from what I've read, but I'll never buy them again. :lol:

Darn-it you guys! I was happy with my EM LR 901's. But because of this and another thread here in Reo-land I tried a Cisco. Now I have a pile of EM's that I may never use. (I'm afraid to think of trying anything fancier...but there are some 306's on the way...uh-0h.)

901s in general are my favorite attys at the moment. Don't know why they aren't more popular. I think I would have saved a bunch of money if i'ld heard ofnthem earlier. My favorites, in order of like to love are, DSE, IKV, cisco, and 357. The cisco and 357 are far and away better than the first two. The the 357 is just slightly mire flavorful than the cisco, but not by much, and I must admit there are times when I can't tell them apart. I've ordered a custom 901 357 that is also a V2, so we'll see if there's any more improvement. If not, I will probably stick with the cisco for the forseeable future. The real magic with the 991 357 is the draw. On a 510 357 you have to draw on it in a way that creates enough vacuum pressure to get full flavor. The 901 with a drip shield tightens up the draw enough that I feel I don't have to adjust my usual draw to get as much if not more flavor and vapor than I would get from the 510. Of course these are just my feelings, but I am a very happy vapor these days.

I should also mention the cisco is the LR bridge less version at 1.5 ohm, the 357 is also 1.5 running both at between 4.1 and 3.8 volts on me reo grands. Also I've never had an easier time feeding an atty on the reo than with a 901 and a drip shield. Match made in heaven. AND, this 901. 357 is coming up on nearly a months use and still going strong. Some here may remember that I have had longevity issues with my previous 357s, none lasting more than two weeks. I've not changed juices, but I have added a second reo and alternate them between puffs. It may be because they are not getting as hot from chain vaping, or they are staying wetter because if the drip shield. Either way, more life than I've experienced in the past. I hesitate to mention this as not to jinx myself, but oh well. I've cleaned them maybe twice in that time, but do blow them out once or twice per day depending on how much I'm vaping. That seems to be required with the drip shield cause over sqonking will flood then shield and lower performance, but at no apparent I'll effect to the atty. A quick blow out and wipe down and I'm back in business. Big happy dance.

Just about the time that I mastered squonking, my drip shield arrived. Yes, a great match with the 901. Now I don't have to worry about any tendency to over-squonk.
I found diminished taste with 510's and cartos (in my limited experience.)

I can't believe I went 3 years constantly pulling off carts and filling them every 5 or 10 minutes. I tend to stick with what's working for me. But now I'm experimenting again. <smile>

thanks for those tips six.... it might be those fine details that make a difference;
I've said, and others too that the 357 is "finicky"... but it may be that drippers are the finicky ones hheheh.'

back to OP one big thing the 357 made me realize is just how good attys can be; the 357 is a benchmark in atomizers, from which all attys can be compared.

Update, last night one of the 5 long running 357's I have on one of my Reo Grands died on me,,,just shy of 7 months I believe it was that I got out of this 357. Pretty dam good and the other 4 are still going strong but it makes me think that the 7-8 month mark may be the Max from these. I dissected the 357 to find that the solder connection busted where the coil wire meets the other wire, I guess from long term heat going to it, it finally popped at the connection where the small solder is holding them together. :( But all in all I surely cant complain and got my moneys worth out of this Atty by far :)

For those who have had theirs die and tear into them, I'd love to see a photo of the insides.
For those that came apart at the solder connection- can't you re-solder??

I sent mine back into Hanna when it died within a week, so never got to see for myself how things were- although I did receive a photo back of the gunked up coil

Dave at that point after it has been used as long as it has a new wick and coil is the only way to go,,,, as far as what it looks like all you will find is SS Wool like material wrapped around the ceramic cup and a piece tucked up under the cup.
