question about V core tanks with a 650 mAH battery

i purchased a v core 2.0 tank today to go with my standard 650mAH battery and it worked for a while but now when i try to pull on it the button just constantly tries to light up is it the battery thats not working right and i need to go for a 900 or 1100 mAH battery?
