As other people have said, VG is a lot thicker than PG, making it much harder for wicks to soak up and wick properly...

That being said, I think the warnings are exaggerated. I've never had much issue with it and I basically only vape liquids that are mostly or completely VG (lately found 20PG/80VG to be a good mix). In any case, when you vape and the device starts to heat up a little, the liquid will heat up as well, greatly decreasing the viscosity of the liquid, resulting in little to no wicking issues. This is extremely noticable with 100% VG liquids. In my experience, you just need to be aware of it and be careful when taking the first few puffs on your (cold) Vivi Novas or whatnot, to avoid dry hits from occurring. There's a learning curve to it, but it's a gentle one. Smaller and "cheaper" clearomizers, however, like the Stardust, may not be able to deal with it as well... but that's just me though. Others may have different experiences than me :)

I only use 100%VG juice (never added water before) and I've had pretty good luck vaping it out of (2) Kanger Evods, a Stardust type clearo, and a Vivi Nova. Go for it, you just might have to clean it more often. I soak the atomizer heads in vodka overnight every 5-6 days.

I've been hesitant to try a Dual Coil carto tank because of this same reason but with the responses you got here I'm probably going to go for it now!

This is actually the reason why I pretty much exclusively use DCTs. I've never ever had a problem of too little wicking in them, period. The problem here is quite the opposite - avoid flooding :D The only thing to remember with 100% VG and DCTs is making sure the hole in the carto is big enough. I just recently discovered the pre-holed Boge cartos (from vapeescape.co.uk), and they have a nice, big, clean hole in the side. They've been absolutely brilliant. I'm sitting here chain vaping a thick 20PG/80VG on one as we speak. I sometimes do some hard, dead drags just to soak up some extra liquid into the filling and see bubbles come out into the tank; a great way to assure plenty of wicking action. You should definitely try it out.

I keep a glass tuperware container with vodka with a lid on it (darn alcohol keeps evaporating on me) and just soak it overnight. Whole thing, whatever I think needs cleaning.

Also it's been said not to use rubbing alcohol or anything else that you wouldn't want to ingest. I've also heard vaping vodka is pretty dangerous too so I rinse them off in the morning and then give them a full day to dry.

I rinse mine with tap, haven't had a problem yet. If it's an issue hopefully someone will tell me so in this thread. I also let them completely dry so I am sure I'm not really vaping tap.

As far as adding water to the actual liquid goes I think someone said to use distilled water in another thread. Not sure.
