Is it safe to vape VG you can get at a pharmacy in a dripper? I am looking for maximum vapor production and have heard 100% VG is the way to go. If I am wrong please correct me. Thanks for any help you can provide.

As long as it's not out of date and has the USP stamp somewhere. High VG will show more vapor but it's best used in drippers. High VG is thicker and may have problems in some tanks.
That's pretty much the stuff that we use when we diy our liquid. You probably won't like straight VG though. It's got the consistency of syrup, so it takes a while to get the wick saturated and it's kind of messy.
You're not wrong, but most of us have found a medium that they're happy with. I use 60/40,it's easier to deal with and makes decent clouds.

Thick VG can easily be thinned out with a little bit of distilled water
When I mix up base for my DIY, the first thing I do is to thin out the VG to about where I want it.
